|Scare Factor: Low | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: While the event itself isn't visible from the road, there is a sign at the entrance. Also, using GPS will take you right there.
Wait Entertainment: They have a nice setup. There are covered waiting areas with picnic tables, as well as fire pits surrounded by hay bales. There were also a number of ghouls wandering around the grounds, to help entertain the guests, along with a few photo op areas set up.
Length of Event: About 20 minutes
Actor Performance: Actors were a mix of young children, teenagers and adults. While not overly menacing, the actors all enthusiastically played out their roles and never broke character.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Since this was a ride on a hayrack, the flow was well regulated.
Summary: After boarding the hay wagon, guests were taken on a spooky ride through an open field. At regular intervals, small scenes of various themes were set up. The themes included the World's Fair, creepy children, witchcraft, graveyard, freak show and many more. The ride was fully choreographed, with separate musical soundtracks playing on the hay wagon, each matching the they were played at. The actors were very enthusiastic and play their roles well. The hay wagon was pulled at a slow enough speed, so that ghouls could hop aboard and scare the guests.
This is a fantastic family-friendly event. The milder scare factor makes it appropriate for families with small children and it is entertaining enough for all ages. You can tell a lot of planning went into this. I highly recommend this event to all. It is a lot of fun and, with admission at only $13, it is also a great value.
