|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Ive been going there for many years now and i can honestly tell you that i didnt really look to see the signs they had posted. i knew where i was going, but every year they do have some signs posted for the conveinence of new-comers.
Wait Entertainment: well i got there around 10:15 and there was a line. But what of course, its the last saturday night of the season! i think i waited just over two hours. it didnt seem to be that long because of the entertainment that was there. they had their workers outside [like they do every year] working the line. by time we entered the building the graphics on the wall was amazing! it was something ive never seen before. after that my group and i got our tickets and then we were on on way. they also added a new entrance way, it was a 'walk-in' skull. over all... the wait didnt even seem like a wait.
Length of Event: this year they must have done something different because i must have been in there for a half an hour! the only thing was is that my group of three was paired up with a different group of two people. Which was fine, we still got the scare we always have. It was great watching the couple get scared too!
Actor Performance: the actors never seem to fail us! For the most part they were on que and seemed to have been practicing durring the summer. the acters throughout the whole house were wonderful.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: there is something you just got to expect on a saturday night, you might just end up comming in contact with another group. the group behind us had caught up with us towards the end. but it didnt really matter, the acters and all the animatronics were still startling.
Appropriate Ages: like they said, 12+... even people over that age were terrified of the actors in the waiting line.
Props / Special FX: this year they had a lot of new props and some of the special FX were masterpeices. they did keep about 50% of their props used last year but they changed it up quite a lot.
Costumes / Make-up: This year it seems like they hired a professional make-up artist! i couldnt tell you if it was a rubber mask or if it they were wearing prostetics! every costume and their makeup had matched the flow of their scene. most other haunted houses ive been to this year have had the masks that you can tell were masks, only because the bottom of it was popping out of their costume... but the dungeon of doom was well over extraordinary.
Summary: one thing is for sure, ill deffinitaly be one of the first people in line at the dungeon of doom next year... ive gone for the past 6 years in a row, many times more than once a year, the Dungeon of Doom hasnt failed to deliver yet, and every year is an improvement. i cant wait to see what you got comming for us next year!thanks for all the screems DOD!
