|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Easy to find given the directions on this site.
Wait Entertainment: Little entertainment while standing in line. But before getting in line there was a lot to do.
Length of Event: House was short, but event was long (see summary).
Actor Performance: Good. Made me jump.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Never ran into anyone else.
Summary: ONLY $1 for the haunted house, a hayride, and hot dogs that you could cook over an open fire. You just can't beat that. The house was not as great as some, but as bang-for-your-buck goes it was as good a time as you could get. There were plenty of skewers and hotdogs to eat, and the hayride was a nice, short trip away from the park. The line for the haunted house was near an hour or so, because it's only open four nights a year. But, they stay open until "last soul standing" so if you're willing to wait (I suggest grabbing a few hot dogs!) then it's worth it. And, even if you avoid the haunted house, for the $1 price tag there's still a lot to do.

Visibility/Location: Easy to find. The directions from this site got me there without a problem.
Wait Entertainment: We waited for less than 10 minutes. The actors were busy scaring people who looked a bit more terrified than us.
Length of Event: 20 minutes? It felt like forever.
Actor Performance: Excellent! Just plain scary.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Good. We got to one point where the group in front of us (younger kids) thought they were lost because it got sort of challenging to find your way through. (I thought that was one of the highlights of the house). Other than that, we ran into no one.
Summary: By far the best haunted house I visited this year in central Illinois. There was hardly any wait, and while we did wait there was a radio station outside playing good music. They were also serving snacks, and there was a real black cat running around which was unnerving. Great job, Clinton!
|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Good|
Visibility/Location: Very easy to find, even for someone relatively unfamiliar with central Illinois.
Wait Entertainment: Good. There were only about 15 people in line, and there were 3 actors working the crowd, so everyone in line got a significant amount of attention.
Length of Event: 10+ minutes, although members of my group sprinted through certain rooms.
Actor Performance: Good overall. There were an awful lot of them, so when you thought they were done popping out at you in one room, you were probably wrong.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Great! Saw no one, but could hear their screams up ahead.
Summary: The house was only $6, and well worth the money and the drive from Normal. There are some tight spaces to get through, and the maze offers some things that others did not. Watch out at the end!
