|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Heading north on 45 I had no problem seeing the sign for Lake County Fairgrounds. The actual haunted house sign was harder to see, though.
Wait Entertainment: We probably waited 40-45 minutes, but it did not feel that long. They have a lot to look at, including a few big screen TV's. There is one point in the house with a live feed, so you can watch people walk through and be scared.
Length of Event: The house probably took 20 minutes to get through (not including the "buried alive" part) and the Internal Nightmare took between 5 and 10 minutes because it was more open and easier to get through at a quick pace.
Actor Performance: Very good, mainly. A few broke character, but a vast majority were creepy and rude and in-your-face.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We caught up to the group in front of us at the end, but before that we saw no one.
Appropriate Ages: It recommends 12+ and I think that's about right.
Summary: It costs $14, but that is about what it costs to see a movie and have popcorn... and this is a far better experience. The "buried alive" part of the house that it is not for the claustrophobic. I didn't think I was, until I got inside that room. Just a warning... it's not that you will be in a tight area, but that you will be packed in tight with a bunch of people. The whole thing probably lasts three minutes, but it truly and uncomfortable and panicky experience. It definitely ups the scare factor, and it will certainly be what you talk about on your way back to the car. It might not be for everyone, though.
