|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: There was quite a bit of parking available for this event, as it is located on the town square. The parking area is very close(across the street). Once we found the downtown area it was no trouble to locate. A few more signs/banners would have been helpful, as we are not from Petersburg.
Wait Entertainment: We waited less than ten minutes to get in. There were lots of neat things to look at as we entered. The hearse outside was definitely something to see. In the short amount of time which we were in the waiting room I noticed it was decorated with gargoyles, candles and authentic funeral home furnishings. It looked like someone spent a lot of time paying atention to the details.
Length of Event: Everything was so interesting and scary, I lost track of time while I was in Terror on the Square
Actor Performance: Actors were convincing and scary, they stayed in character the entire time. The holograms and actors were well timed.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We had no trouble waitng for other groups nor did we bump into anyone. I did not feel rushed and we were alllowed to move at our own pace.
Props / Special FX: There were hologram images that were very unique. There was a room that we could hardly find our way out of it was creepy. Terror on the square has an elevator which was very frightening.
Costumes / Make-up: Scary, dead looking actors followed us around. The actors wear makeup as well as appropriate costumes. It seemed to me that those who work here pay meticulous attention to details.
Summary: My favorite scenes were the body bags and the elevator. Some scary looking skinny guy followed us through a couple of rooms. The MOST scary was this man behind the glass who looked half- crazed. In one particular room, we could not find our way out and we were being chased by a few ghouls as well. The atmosphere was eerie, the fact that this is in an old funeral home adds to its ambience as well. It looked to me as if the staff had spent a lot of time and effort in the decoration of this haunted house. I felt it was entirely worth the money. I would say that they definitely gave us "a lot of bang for our buck."
