Visibility/Location: A little difficult to find. The signs weren't place very well and were in a location where it could have told you to take one of two roads and you couldn't distinguish the difference.

Wait Entertainment: Pretty long lines but it was good because they had a horror movie playing on a screen. The decorations in the wait line were really good too. The best wait line I've ever been in.

Length of Event: Really good.

Actor Performance: It was a bunch of high school kids but they did a really good job. The costumes were so great I was totally impressed. There were a few times when I thought those are just dummies but they turned out to be real people. They did a good job of playing still and hiding until it was time to scare you. Then they followed really close afterward. It was great

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: FANTASTIC. We did run into the people in front of us, which was funny because the kids were really scared. But that was only because they were lost from the dark maze ahead and started heading backwards towards us. Other than that didn't run into anybody.

Appropriate Ages: Great.

Props / Special FX: The props were awesome. They did a really good job. There were so many rooms with different things like a room full of clowns, of dolls, dead things it was just great overall.

Costumes / Make-up: Very realistic. Even the doorman was great. I was really, really impressed with how great the costumes were. It was hard to distinguish what was a prop and what was a real person it was that good.

Summary: I will be back next year. I was scared the entire time and had a helluva a scare. The end with was awesome and I wasn't even sure I should go through it. Totally worth $10 (I had a $2 coupon I got from Little Caesars)

Visibility/Location: A little difficult to find, but not to bad.

Wait Entertainment: None to speak of. And the wait was ridiculus for the entertainment dollar.

Length of Event: Seemed to be about 10 min. or so. Not too sure.

Actor Performance: Don't you mean kids performance? For their age I would say the actor performance was good. However, how scary can kids be? Unless they have your credit card...

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Seemed to be ok.

Appropriate Ages: All ages

Props / Special FX: Props seemed to be very ok. Nothing seemed to have changed from last year, everything just got moved around.

Costumes / Make-up: I read some other reviews and I have to agree...Wal Mart probably needs to restock.

Summary: If you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night and there isn't anything on TV, this would be a good place to take your kids to give them something to do. However as an adult, I was thoroughly disappointed. AGAIN! This place is not scary what so ever. I probably won't be back. Chittyville, for all the advertising you do, you should be better than this.

Scare Factor: Very Low | Atmosphere: Fair

Visibility/Location: Too far to drive for what you get.

Wait Entertainment: Joking around with others in the line.

Length of Event: Didn't time it but took longer to get in than it did to go through.

Actor Performance: Boring, young children which really haven't a clue what a haunted house is all about.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Steady, really nothing to slow you down or stop and look at.

Appropriate Ages: 12 and under. Adults and teens will be bored unless their scare factor is really really LOW.

Props / Special FX: If you been to Wally World then you seen it all.

Costumes / Make-up: The only thing different than the costumes at Wally World is that in the Haunting of Chittyville School there are people in them and at Wally World they are hanging on racks.

Summary: Their commercials are more scary than their haunted house. They charge way too much for what they offer. Our group for one will not be back. It is out on the beaten path and gas is too expensive to go there again and pay 12 bucks to go through the kiddie park. Don't let their advertising fool you. I have been to cheaper haunted houses and had a much better time.

Visibility/Location: off the beaten path a little outside of Herrin.

Wait Entertainment: None

Length of Event: about 10 minutes

Actor Performance: high school kids.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: ok

Appropriate Ages: any

Props / Special FX: basic stuff. Nothing special

Costumes / Make-up: like halloween costumes from walmart

Summary: Really low budget and not real creative for all the advertising that they do. We were not really impressed at all. not that much different than it was the last couple of years. Not worth the money.
