|Scare Factor: Medium | Atmosphere: Good|
Visibility/Location: It was pretty easy to spot once we got to the Downs area. There were a few signs, but the huge line of people waiting for the house really tipped me off.
Wait Entertainment: There were a few monsters wandering the line, but there was a guy performing tricks with fire that really got my attention.
Length of Event: About 10-15 minutes.
Actor Performance: All the actors played their parts pretty well, but my personal favorite was the girl in the tattoo shop. She did exceptionally well.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Very good. My group never ran into any others.
Appropriate Ages: I would say eight and up.
Props / Special FX: They did good in this category. My little brother, who visited this with me, thinks they could have used more spiders in the Arachnophobia room, but I thought the number they had was good enough to provide a pretty good, unexpected scare.
Summary: Personally, I like a haunted house that is a mixture of slightly funny (in a good way) and scary, and this house was the perfect combination of both. All the actors stayed in character the whole way through, and the special effects were awesome. They had many different scenes, but my favorite was the bank scene. I don't want to give away the scare, but it was very unexpected. The last room had a clown with a chainsaw that just kind of stood there as you exited the house. In my opinion, it would have been better if he chased us out.
For such a small town, this house was actually pretty good. Even my little brother, who doesn't like haunted houses, had fun at this one. My group paid five dollars for the fast pass, and it was worth it.
I would recommend this for anybody that likes haunted houses that are scary, but not too scary. If the Franklin Street crew does as good a job next year as they did this year, they can count on me coming back.
