|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: This is very easy to find, especially since it's been in the same place for years. They've added a red police light on top of the house so you can see it from the street easier.
Wait Entertainment: These guys are very entertaining. They do a great job of entertaining and scaring people while they wait. Be prepared to have them slide into you as you wait. Also, take a good look at their makeup--very well done!
Length of Event: I overheard a lady saying "it depends on how fast you run" which I thought was funny. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get through the house but it's very intense so you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Actor Performance: These are some of the best actors at any haunted house around, especially the charity-run Jaycee houses. They jump out of nowhere and then on to the railings and literally get in your face. Very intense
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Excellent. There aren't any back ups and groups are spaced well.
Appropriate Ages: This depends on the kid, but a mature pre-teen is a good rule of thumb
Costumes / Make-up: The make up is always great at this house and this year is no exception. The costumes are well done and not commercial.
Summary: This is the best Brookfield Jaycees house in years. They've redone the route through the house and all of the rooms are new. There are some rooms which could be improved (poltergiest, Carrie) but there are some very great rooms (butcher, saw, guitar hero). The actors are very intense and in your face. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this house. The prices are reasonable plus they have a $1 off coupon and some special pricing too. I also like going to this house because it's very good but it also is for charity and is built and staffed by non-paid volunteers.
