Visibility/Location: Easily visible from the street with flashing lights and the big Haunted Trails sign. You couldn't miss it.

Wait Entertainment: There was none since I was the only one in line.

Length of Event: 5 minutes

Actor Performance: Hit and miss. A couple actors timed their scares right but some made an appearance after I was almost out of the room. They relied mainly on popouts while some actors just stared.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: I was the only one there so I didn't run into anyone.

Appropriate Ages: Since the scare factor was quite low, I'd say this an appropriate family event.

Props / Special FX: A few props like body parts here and there, and there was a scene with a mutilated body on a table.

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes were appropriate for the scenes and I couldn't see the makeup too well because the whole house was lit with blacklights.

Summary: The tour starts off with the rules being read by a very eccentric female actress. Then as you progess through the house, a majority of the detail consists of artwork illuminated by blacklights. More variety in lighting was definitely needed. There were also several scenes with railings that in my opinion separated the customers from the action. It was more like you were walking past a scene instead of walking through it. Though a few of the actors had well timed popouts, such as the scare in the library. Many of the walls were black, with spider webs scattered throughout to add effect.

As far as the acting goes, a few popouts were on target, and some were too late. The actors not in popout scenes seemed to just stare and growl, with the exception of the butcher scene where the crazed butcher and an actor portraying a severed head on a table interacted with each other. Halfway through the house your path continues outside and up a winding staircase onto the roof of the attraction where a single ghoul stood guard. I expected a scare, but nothing happened up there, then you walk back down another winding staircase back into the main haunt.

The scene I was impressed with most was the forest. In this scene you walked into an area with trees and various outdoor bushes along a walkway with wooden railings on either side. This part was dead silent, and just when I thought it was void of actors, they just appeared out of nowhere and attacked from both sides. It was as if the forest just came alive.

Near the end of the house you enter a bottomless pit effect that was done nicely, but when I entered this area the actor there was sitting down on the steps in the middle of the walkway and texting on his cell phone. Very unprofessional, and killed the mood for me immensely.

This wasn't a bad haunt, for the 10 dollar price tag. Due the low scare factor this would be a good family friendly event.
