Visibility/Location: I found the event via Google maps!

Wait Entertainment: The creepy vision of the house itself was wait entertainment enough!

Length of Event: About two hours

Actor Performance: Amazing and creepy! Jim Warfield guides the tour and is so entertaining!

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Groups were timed... also it was early in the season... so customer flow was great!

Summary: This place is such a hoot! I go every year. It is such a unique experience and still keeps changing over time. It's not like a regular haunted house, which is a good thing. It's really haunted, too! The bed slide is amazing and pretty scary! All throughout the house is artwork that the owner has created himself. It's creepy and all very original. My favorite part of the haunted house is the wine cellar, where many supernatural things have happened. Oh, did I forget to mention that this place is not only an October attraction, but it's also really haunted?."

Visibility/Location: Located in the small town of Mt.Carroll , we found it easy to find - we used GPS. Not road marked, but easy to find the house.

Wait Entertainment: No wait entertainment for us. but we went right in. There is lots of exterior to look at, so there is no need for wait entertainment here.

Length of Event: We were there almost 2 hours, great length, however Halloween rush was over.

Actor Performance: The guide did a excellent job, this was the best guided tour I have seen.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We freely moved from one room to another, and all very well done.

Appropriate Ages: I would think all ages above 6 would enjoy this, this might be a little scared from time-to-time but only because the owner (guide) gives 100%.. The mood is set when you enter and the ghost stories might scare the young.

Props / Special FX: Lots of props here, all homemade and look good.

Costumes / Make-up: The guide goes through seveal different face experessions and continues to throw curves at you - very good.

Summary: This is not your standard Haunted House, this thing is really haunted - we had several things which just caught us off guard. We really enjoyed the guide which goes through story after story about the house, giving get effects as things move along. The entire house gives off a special glow (feeling) that just makes everything come together here and work great. This was our first experience here and it will not be our last, we all just loved what we experienced here. The house is stacked with props and things to look at, it would take a week to see everything. The bed slide is great, and the wine cellar is haunted, we noticed a strange glow in the basement monitor as my son dropped down the bed slide exit - lights that should have been on were off and this strange glow on the screen, just weird. He said he felt some type of presence in the wine cellar area, hard to explain and he is a hard sell. Overall; this isn't your standard event, this is a classic and very enjoyable.

Visibility/Location: Just off the main street through town. There are a couple of large signs pointing the way. There's no mistaking this place for anything else!

Wait Entertainment: None but it wasn't needed. Just take in the overall creepiness of the house fronm the outside.

Length of Event: 1-1/2 hours for our group.

Actor Performance: Excellent. There aren't a lot of them but they were great.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Excellent. No bumping into the other tours that went in before and came in after ours.

Appropriate Ages: Absolutely, though if you go at night, the little ones might be a bit leary about it.

Props / Special FX: More props than you can shake a BIG stick at! All created by the owner too.

Costumes / Make-up: Not a lot but there really isn't any needed here.

Summary: This place is just naturally creepy! An old 1870's Victorian house that overlooks a bluff partially surrounded by old trees. There are all sorts of oddball/weird sculptures everywhere inside and outside the house. Not a blood and guts, scream in your face type of haunt. It's definitely one of a kind! We spent an hour and a half inside (try getting that at the other haunts) listening to the stories of the sightings in the house over the years (yes it's supposed to actually be haunted!)and laughing our backsides off at the creator and his minions, not to mention at each other! Nobody pushing and shoving us through like a meat packing plant. We liked it so much that we're going back this weekend. If your looking for something that's unique, creepy (actually haunted) and a h--e--double-hockey-sticks (censored) of a lot of fun, this is the place to go!
