Visibility/Location: Large banners were posted along the route I took. Once there, I saw signs for parking, ticket sales, and they had burning torches at the que entrance as well as floodlights illuminating the entrance. Plus the line was visible right on Devon Ave to see the length before we parked.

Wait Entertainment: The Hair Razor had music playing, and I counted 5 creepy characters roaming between the trees and bushes. There were 2 clowns with excellant creepy make-up that just walked right up to me and stared as they tilted their heads back and forth. 1 dressed in black would appear out of nowhere startling the people ahead of me.

Length of Event: Our group waited about 25 minutes and it took us close to 15 minutes to get through the Hair Razor Maze.

Actor Performance: The actors stayed in character as they inter-acted in their scenes with us. Some were amusing in a creepy way and others were just down right scary as they invaded our "safety-zone " of comfort. The scenes that had props and actors together all worked in unity to scare us at a higher level.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow was good. The line moved steadily. We waited about 25 minutes to get in. We had 4 people in our group, and I noticed that a couple of larger groups in front of us were being divided up. Once inside, we could hear screams but never ran into anyone.

Appropriate Ages: Probably as stated on their website 12 and older.

Props / Special FX: There was a great mix of props, lasers, and scenery to set the tone for each scene. But best was sound in most of the scenes and when a prop scared us, there was sound effects to that as well. Just the right amount of fog as well should be noted.

Costumes / Make-up: Make-up was done well..the clowns, the characters in the morgue scene, the witch, the zombies, the mad doctor. The costumes were quality grade especially the masks that looked very life-like..(lady in funeral home, guy in dining room and the pirate) The characters fit each scene to a tee. They had 2 special costumes, a Gorilla that looked very real and a chair that surprises you.

Summary: This Hair Razor Maze has been at St.Thecla for 4 yrs now of which I have visited here for the last 3. I can definitely say that every year has gotten better. this year the individual sounds, laser effects, scene designs, and so many new props has advanced this sleeper haunt to a MUST SEE. The creepy Dr. in the animal clinic (who looked and sounded like Jerry Lewis from the nutty professor) relaxes you with funny antics only to let you go and be scared from that point on, including an encounter with a caged gorilla whose name was "Dog". There was an impressive pirate ship as you entered that had a pirate steering it.In the morgue scene there was a live girl being cut apart by a creepy doctor. The black room with strobes that disorientated us, to the Dot room that was all around dots including the floor that made you look like it was floating, to the fortune teller's room that had a wall disappear and reveal floating heads amongst the screams, and a very interesting set-up in the meat market that made you figure out a clever way to exit it. There were a bunch of new scenes as well as different ways to scare us in the popular ones from last year, especially the mausoleum crypts where you expected a casket to pop out at us only to be scared in a different way. The props were high quality in the cemetery scenes and the spooky dining room. The witches in the forest with a skeleton stirring the cauldron was cool. The pirates in the dungeon and the mummies kept you guessing who were props and who were real, the swamp creature that blends into the scenery to the dancing green alien in the vortex tunnel all made for a great value at $ 9.00(we used the $1.00 off coupon from web site)..I say this one is a MUST SEE and a great value .
