Visibility/Location: I have visited this house before so finding it wasn't a problem. In a mostly residential area I get a real haunted HOUSE feeling and not a old unused building feeling which most haunts are these days. I like the location.
Wait Entertainment: A few actors out roaming around working the crowd and keeping the patrons on edge. The old hearse they have is totaly creepy and with the no line way they do there entry there is time to look around, visit with friends, check out the consession stand, and even have your picture taken. Cool idea...
Length of Event: 15 - 20 min. Don't rush thru this house because there is so much detail to check out. Every time I visit this house I am blown away by the level of detail they put into every scene.
Actor Performance: I thought the scares were well placed and well timed. While looking at the details of this house I was caught several time when I wasn't expecting it. I think they did a good job.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Did not feel rushed, did not run into any other people. Had a little time to take it all in.
Appropriate Ages: 8 and up ....
Props / Special FX: One of the things I like about this haunt is that they don't rely on animatronics. Its all in the details of decorating, lighting, and music. Such a good job on atmosphere. Creeped me out ...
Costumes / Make-up: Good balance of makeup to mask. Both used appropriately
Summary: I always make sure I visit this house every year for all reasons I stated above. I can't say enough about the level of detail they put into every inch of this building. There is nothing left undone or just covered up because they didn't know what else to do. They do know what to do and they did it. Some houses I have been to just throw some things together, call it a haunted house and ask for your money. That's not the the case at Terror on Washington Street. There hard work and dedication comes through at every turn. Some really big haunts I have been to in the St. Louis area did a good job of putting a house together but then just spent there time yelling at everybody and didn't really try to scare us. I have never been disappointed here and don't think I will be anytime soon. A great group of people working there tails off to provide you/me a scary night at my favorite time of year. Do yourself a favor and check this house out. You won't be disappointed. ..... Have a Happy Halloween everyone.
