Summary: We drove two hours specifically to go to this haunt. They advertise great scares with some extremely unusual things in this house. The website says it is open pretty much every day in October. Much more than any other haunt I've seen. Then when we got to the Screamatorium, which is run by the same people, the parking lady told us Fear Asylum didn't make it open. There was nothing about this one the website. When we explained that we drove two hours for that house, she said, "Aren't you glad I told you before you went there?" Not an apology, nothing. That is a bad thing, in my opinion. We did find another haunt at the fairgrounds in Belvidere that we knew nothing about, but I was very disappointed in the management for Fear Asylum that they cared so little for the public as to not let them know they hadn't even opened for at least two of the advertised days. I suggest you call first.
