Visibility/Location: The are at Dolinger Family Farm in Channahon. There were a lot of signs near the event.

Wait Entertainment: There was a single actor at the entrance of the first barn. He didn’t do much, other than lean against one of the support posts. There was no wait entertainment at the second barn.

Length of Event: 1st barn - 8 minutes
Corn Maze - 1 minute
Graveyard - < 1 minute
2nd barn - 7 minutes

Actor Performance: Pretty good. There were lively in the 1st and 2nd barns. The corn maze and graveyard could have used more actors.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Pretty good. They weren't too busy when I visited, so groups could be spaced out well.

Summary: They really should be ashamed of themselves for misleading advertising. They advertised that there were four attractions??? Honestly, there are only two. Apparently, the other two “attractions” are a small corn maze and graveyard. What a joke! The corn maze was is a zigzag corn stalk patch, which only took 1 minute to walk-through. It was empty, for the most part, with the exception of a single actor near the end, who growled at us. The graveyard was an ultra-wide, straight path that took less than 1 minute to get through. It had an open coffin, some tombstones behind metal fencing and dim lighting. At the end, there was a very small crypt structure you walked into.

Now, I’ll talk about the two barns.

The first barn, a large metal structure, was the best of the two attractions. It was the most elaborate and it was easy to see that was the one they spent the most time decorating. The most detailed was at the beginning. It was made up to look like an old manor. The study had a nice hidden exit, but you could see the actress in the scene push the remote control button to open the door.

The toxic waste area was cool, too. There were barrels stacked in the corner and a girl comes crawling out of a sewage pipe in the wall.

They also had a Freddy Krueger scene, attic and backwoods shack. All were nicely done, but I was done in less than ten minutes.

The second barn had some great ambiance. It was one of those old barns with big wooden beams. It was naturally creepy. It had a nice spider hallway, with lots of webs stretched around. There was also a great glowing circus area, with lots of animated clown actors. The upside down room was neat, too.

Unfortunately, the end had several hallways that really had nothing in them. It just seemed unfinished, like they ran out of time.

In general, I thought this event was pretty cool, but there were some serious problems. Other than their deceptive advertising, I have a HUGE issue with their price. The event is just entirely too short to charge $25 for!!! Sorry, guys. I liked the haunted house, but unless you lower the price to a reasonable level (suggestion: $12) and change your advertising practices, I won’t be back.

Visibility/Location: A few signs on the road with arrows. Plug the address into the GPS and you'll have no issues.

Wait Entertainment: None. There was a guy standing in the entrance taking tickets looking at the people at the front but thats all.

Length of Event: 30+ mins.

Actor Performance: Actor performance was ok. Some would talk to you, some would pop out and just scream. Most hid in corners which was pretty boring.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We didn't run into any other groups. At the beginning it seems they let groups in about 5 mins apart.

Appropriate Ages: Any

Props / Special FX: Not much in the special fx department but there was some cool props. Good decroations in rooms.

Costumes / Make-up: I enjoy the costumes and make up. Actors fit into their scenes well.

Summary: Not a bad haunt. The website advertises 4 haunts, there is only 3 and really could be considered 1. It is 2 different buildings attached by a small "corn maze" which is actually just a 2 minute walk through some random corn hung up and there is only 1 path so its not a maze. The first building is really big and long and the 2nd is also. Not many actors, could be due to it being early still. I would say only about a 1/3 of the rooms have a actor. 25$ is pretty steep for it but it is a nice long haunt.

Visibility/Location: I think the location blended in with the atmosphere perfect. 2 barns outside of town by an old cemetery and a pumkin patch across the street.

Wait Entertainment: I waited for about an hour and it was worth the wait when i got in.

Length of Event: it took us about 45 min to get through the haunted house.

Actor Performance: most of the actors were really creepy, some were just ok. there was this creepy boogieman in the 2nd barn that scared me so bad and it seemed like i couldnt get away from him. i was scared.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: the flow was steady but sometimes when u go to these things, your going to bump into people that go slow ahead of you

Appropriate Ages: i would honestly say ages 10+up.

Props / Special FX: the props they had set up were good and made you jump.lol

Costumes / Make-up: most of the costumes and makup on the characters were really good.

Summary: Me and my friends went to 'Abyss" and thought it was very creepy. Directions to get there are really simple for us, was basically 2 turns and we were there. I thought $25.00 a ticket was high but when we got in after only waiting an hour, it was well worth the money. it took us roughly an hour to go all the way through. one of my friends got really scared and was on the ground screaming while jason and the boogieman in the 2nd barn teamed up on him. it was great. I am going to take my little brother and sister back. I would definatley recommend this haunted house to anyone who wants a good scare. Plus i heard one of the barns is really haunted, didnt see anything when i was there but would be awesome to see a real ghost...
