Visibility/Location: The location of the haunted house is on the main road in Herrin. It is right next door to Mcdonalds. The parking lot is very well lit and the building is also. We were driving by and saw all the strobe lights and the creepy looking building and decided to go in.

Wait Entertainment: While we were waiting in line, there was an actor in a jail cell that was yelling at us. He was hilarious. One of the people in front of us got their name announced into the haunted house over a loud speaker. When we got to the door he started in on us, and scared one of the girls in our group. It was very entertaining.

Length of Event: 30 minutes

Actor Performance: We go to many local haunted houses and haunted hayrides throughout the season and I have to say that the theme of the haunt was kept from the beginning until the end. The actors were all dressed as inmates from a prison in orange jumpsuits. They never broke character while we were in there. Every scare was perfect. Perfect timing and Perfect locations. The actors in the cell block are definitely really good.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: When we got inside the haunt it was basically self guided. When we got to the dark maze at the end We couldn't figure out where to go (we were in the dark) and we felt like we were going in circles. It was cool how we had to escape the maze just to get into another maze to get out. We never caught up to the group in front of us.

Appropriate Ages: 12 and up. Not recommended for young children.

Props / Special FX: There were a lot of cool scenes with props and special fx. I really liked the screen with the video playing on it and an actor coming through the screen. I got a little wet when going through the dark maze. The sounds throughout the haunted house were great. It sounded like we were actually in a prison with crazy people all around screaming and getting cut up.

Costumes / Make-up: The actors were all in orange jumpsuits and all looked like they had been beaten up. Bloody makeup and crazy looking. I wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley alone.

Summary: Overall this haunted house was great. It messed with my senses and really had me scared in multiple spots. I would highly recommend this haunted house to anyone who wants a good scare this year. The price of the tickets were affordable and well worth the entertainment we got inside. I liked the fact that it wasn't like a typical haunted house with different scenes, it kept a prison theme throughout the entire haunt. The actors were great and stayed in character and scared our group every time. We are thinking about going back next weekend just to see it again.
