|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Heading into Roadhouse you can't miss the large lite sign and the haunted house.
Wait Entertainment: Lots of standard haunted house props marked around the house and yard, very nice and well put together. No actual wait entertainment here which we noticed, but the crowd tonight was weak.
Length of Event: The actual event took maybe 20 minutes after you enter the house.
Actor Performance: Everyone done a very good job and stayed on their mark, nobody broke character and was very convincing of being real hillbillies in a real lose environment - liked this format and it works great in this little town.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow was great and we actually controlled the speed of the event, so I had chances to look over the scenes and props, very nice!
They allowed our group to enter the event alone and therefore the chance to fully enjoy the attraction and all the scares to ourselves.
Appropriate Ages: I would say anyone above 8 to 10 shouldn't have any trouble here, but there are some "in your face stuff" here so it depends on your fright level!
Props / Special FX: The haunted house has good props and everything goes with the theme of a real hillbilly crazy house - we enjoyed the theme very much.
No real special effects here with the exception of strobes and smoke machines!
Costumes / Make-up: The make up, masks, and costumes were except able here, remember that this is hillbillies themed and therefore the costumes are pretty much standard farmers dress, everyone we noticed or observed looked very good. The masks and make up worked great and we thought everyone done a very good job.
Summary: After several years off from this haunted house we returned without any real expectations in what we would see, and yes they done a real job here! Several years ago we were entertained by what they done, but this year they upped the game and this haunted crazy hillbilly house pulled it off, everything we noticed or observed was right on the mark and every actor stayed on cue from start to finish. There is tons of things to look at, more than you have time to see, but everything relates to the haunted attraction. There is a second floor which you seamlessly move up to and the hillbilly bedrooms are totally out there, make sure to look at the surroundings - they are great!
With tons of chainsaws and corn field surroundings outside you don't have a chance !
