Visibility/Location: It's very easy to find since it's located inside of Odyssey Fun World.
Wait Entertainment: The wait entertainment was great because they were hard core picking on me! There was a clown outside that slid toward one of my friends with the things that make the sparks. That's always cool. And then when we went inside to get our tickets there was a guy that looked like a more awesome version of Bane. As soon as he looked at me I tried to hide on the other side of my boyfriend but it didn't work. We were basically playing peekaboo around him. Then he called over the clown who stood behind me and did this blowing/purring thing in my ear. He also had a great clown laugh. And as soon as we got the tickets "Bane" grabbed them, gave my boyfriend his and took mine and held it up too high for me to reach. Then the clown took it put it in his mouth and I had to try and take it from him. They were very entertaining although I think I might have been entertaining them more haha
Length of Event: With both Haunted Houses it was probably around 20 minutes.
Actor Performance: Most performances were great, only a few needed a little work.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Patron flow was pretty good, we only ran into one group at the very end. But the actors in that room stopped us and kept shoving a needle in my friends face who is actually very afraid of needles so she was on the ground.
Appropriate Ages: Depends on the kid, but there was something in the Haunt that was very disturbing in a not kid friendly way.
Props / Special FX: The rooms were decorated very well, and the animatronics were amazing! I wanted to take the T-rex home with me.
Costumes / Make-up: I have no complaints about costumes or makeup, it was all good.
Summary: I was very skeptical of this Haunt because I've heard mixed reviews. But there was a groupon to get into both houses for $13 instead of $23 which is a great deal. And we went on a Thursday so all the lines were very short.
After you get your tickets, you stand in a line to get your photo taken in front of a Massacre Haunted House background, which they put on their Facebook page, and then you walk outside, back in, up some really dark stairs, and into the line for the first haunted house which is the 3D one. They played awesome music while you waited, and had some kind of horror movie on.
I've been in a 3D haunted house before, but this one was way better. The 3D was really in your face. It would have been fun to walk through it even if there weren't any actors.
After that you end up in a more themed waiting area that's circus themed. There's a funny clown waiting for you and a Haunted House attendant.
One of the girls in the group in front of us was given 3 options, she could either go first, go alone, or they were going to tell everyone in the Haunted House here name. They would not let them go through until she decided.
When it was our groups turn, they asked who was going first, and I raised my hand. The lady said no, and told my other friend who was the only other girl that she had to go first.
I've never been to a Haunted House where they did something like that, which was fun. But the haunted house was pretty good, I don't have any complaints. There were a lot of elements that I was not expecting which is always good. And like I said the animatronics were great. There was one part in the haunted house that I wasn't really sure what I was seeing, and it made my whole group question the age limit of the Haunt.
Overall it was good, nothing amazing, but I had no real complaints. I am most satisfied with a haunted house when my voice is hoarse and I'm out of breathe from screaming. And I got a few screams but it didn't give me my haunted house fix. I am the type of person that loves to go first, loves to scream, and loves when the actors are intense and get in your face. I am hard to please when it comes to haunted houses because I don't scare easily, it's all depended on the actors.
I'm glad I had the groupon because I feel like I got my moneys worth. $23 is a bit pricey in my opinion, if I pay more than $20 I expect to be crying when I'm done haha. But there are 2 free passes to Hollywood Palms on your ticket, and they also give you a coupon to come back and do the Haunted house again in the beginning of November in the complete darkness with a flashlight. I might have to go back and try that.
