Visibility/Location: Pretty easy to find with GPS, but hard to see from the road. The event is in a strip mall, tucked away quite a distance off the road. There was a sign on the street, but it wasn’t lit up.
Wait Entertainment: Well, we went in September, so there wasn’t much of a line or need for wait entertainment. The entrance was set up to look like an old house, which was cool and they had a tv playing old movies on the wall.
Length of Event: A little more than ten minutes, I’d say.
Actor Performance: The actors did a great job. Very interactive. They stayed in character and were very creepy, in a “Deliverance” kind of way.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: There weren’t a lot of people in line on the night we went, but the flow was smooth through the house. The actors spent a lot of time with us, so if they do the same thing when there is a big crowd, they might have back-up problems.
Appropriate Ages: I would say 16+, because there are adult themes and language throughout the event. Definitely not for kids!
Summary: This haunted house follows through with the backwoods “hick” theme from start to finish. The actors make this house what it is. As you go through, you are approached by various members of the twisted family. They invade your space and do their best to make you feel uncomfortable. There were several times when actors jumped out of hiding spots to get you. Very effective scares. The scenes were nice, but some could be a little more elaborate and a little less plain. For detail, I liked the kitchen and the living room the best. It is refreshing to see someone put a new “twist” on your traditional haunted house and it’s nice to have another haunted house choice in the Rockford area. The price was reasonable, too. It was a good time.
