Visibility/Location: Location was easy to find!

Wait Entertainment: A Creepy Doll girl stalked our group in line. We loved the oddities room before we entered.

Length of Event: A little over 20 minutes.

Actor Performance: Great actors!!! All very different. We enjoyed the carnival games and the mime maze.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We never ran into a group and no groups ran into us.

Appropriate Ages: 12+

Props / Special FX: All the rooms had very cool lighting/effects. We liked the seance room with all the detail and conjuring of a spirit.

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes were original and very creepy!!!

Summary: We didn't know what to expect from Fables but we were very surprised. The beginning we were told they were not trying to be the scariest haunt but the most entertaining. They hit the nail on the head. Our group laughed and screamed our way through. The interactive games we had to play were fun with a great prize at the end. The blue clown before the maze was very funny. We only paid $10.00 a person to enter Fables as an add on to the other haunt at the same location and we feel it was a great value for the amount of fun we had. We will be back again next year to see what they come up with!

Visibility/Location: Attached to Fear City - easy signage

Wait Entertainment: some, but I had a fast pass and skipped the line. The pass is worth the extra $10. Also, be sure to buy your tickets online to save 10 minutes from the wait.

Length of Event: 20 minutes

Actor Performance: The actors performed well, but it wasn't really scary - more interesting and funny.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: never ran into anyone or even heard anyone, that's how many people they let in at once.

Appropriate Ages: 9+

Props / Special FX: Okay - not great but funny and cool

Costumes / Make-up: More masks than makeup

Summary: This was a cool one time attraction to check out, but it wouldn't be worth a second look. The attraction isn't meant to be scary, it's meant to be an interesting funny carnival show. There are interactive games inside the maze and a couple medium scares, but overall it's just a fun house with character interactions. It's charged at $15 or $10 if you do Fear City first. It's worth about $8-$12 alone. Check it out - you might like it. One of the cool things is that the initial character actually tells you that it's not a haunted house; its really a fun house.

Visibility/Location: Fables is located right next to Fear City in an old industrial building. There are signs around the attraction and when I went there was police vehicle with their lights on directing traffic into the lot.

Wait Entertainment: There was one girl who came out messed with some people and did some photo opportunities as well.

Length of Event: about 10 minutes.

Actor Performance: Excellent. Some of the best acting I've seen for a long time. Each actor plays a role and they do it very well. All of the actors were very entertaining.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Very good. They send in groups of about 6. I went in with a group of 5 and we didn't run into anyone else at all the whole time.

Appropriate Ages: I would say 13 and up because some the actors discuss more mature topics and say some questionable things. I was with a older group though so they may change their language and dialogue based on the patrons in the attraction at the time.

Props / Special FX: No animatronics or anything crazy but a very nice use of props and detailed sets. The lighting is done very well too and there is a cool talking head statue which is reminiscent of Disney attractions.

Costumes / Make-up: Very good. All of the costumes were made to look like carnival people and the makeup and masks were very good and fitting to the scenes and the characters themselves.

Summary: Fables is definitely a different haunted house. They are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise diluted industry with much of the same stuff. They really interact with their customers in a way that other haunts just cannot or will not do. Expect to play games and really get involved with the story and aspects that abound within this attraction. You might even get wet! I know I did!
Fables offers a mix of scares and laughs and you never really know what to expect next. There is even a cool maze inside the haunt which creates a neat disorienting effect on its guests. By all means, Fables is not your typical haunted house but it is definitely something that I think everyone should check out at some point.
