Visibility/Location: Located in downtown Auburn - not hard to find and very we'll marked!

Wait Entertainment: Good wait entertainment here, Scooby Doo mystery van parked in the front, large top hat creature walking the door area and taking tickets.

Length of Event: The event took maybe 15 minutes.

Actor Performance: The performances were great and everything went off in time.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow was great and everything moved along great.

Appropriate Ages: I would say 8 and above will be ok.

Props / Special FX: Some great effects here, but reworked events from past year with the mirror illusion effects. The other parts of the event took a new direction and yes it was very enjoying - I did miss the theatre this year, but they pulled off a new look for the theatre building.

Costumes / Make-up: Costumes and make up was very well done and we enjoyed the new twist and make up.

Summary: This marked the return to the theatre and yes we enjoyed what we saw. Everything was very enjoying from the start to the finish and yes the new design and construction was very good and yes they pulled off this newly designed attraction and didn't miss anything here. The illusion effects were dated from the past, but it still gave us a little shock value - shotgun blast to the head and the face crusher! They took a lot of waiting out of this event with the theatre movie and the theatre entry area, now you move right into the action from the street to the event..

Visibility/Location: If you get to the downtown square in Auburn, it's pretty hard to miss. Although in years past, they did things up bigger out in front.

Wait Entertainment: The had a scary statue, some DVDs and books you could buy and a wheel to spin for $1.00.
Oh and the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. Huh?

Length of Event: 7-9 mins

Actor Performance: There weren't many actors at all.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Saw no one but our group.

Appropriate Ages: 10+

Props / Special FX: They mainly relied on props. There weren't that many, but there were more props than actors.

Costumes / Make-up: The ticket taker looked awesome. He had great makeup and contacts! Also, the strobe light room girl.

Summary: They had all the rooms and turns and creepy atmosphere and even some decent props, but the haunt overall fell flat. I think it was he lack of humans working. The strobe light room was one of the best I've ever seen and the actor in that room had great makeup and costume, but just sort of moved slowly and then stood staring. You can't see crap in that room. That is an opportunity to scare the bejesus out of people!! Their 3-d rooms were also probably the best I've ever seen, but no scares! That was a shame because the 3-d was very disorienting. Also the ticket taker had great makeup.....really great and his performance taking the tickets cracked me up. That was good. I even enjoyed the skeleton playing the organ, but again, no scare. The scene where you get sprayed with water needs to seriously turn down the nozzle. Walking around with soaking wet pants the rest of the night is pretty fricking annoying.
This place has potential and has been much better in the past. I hope they get more actors as the season gets into swing. At least the price hasn't jumped up ridiculously like some places, so that was a definite plus.

Visibility/Location: Extremely easy to find, right off the business district square.

Wait Entertainment: Scooby Doo van, a tent with haunted items, and the ticket taker, with an excellent mask and fun interaction with the guests.

Length of Event: 9 minutes

Actor Performance: Not many actors and half the actors are young. Two of the best actors however were young girls, one overlooking the exit of the 3-D maze and my favorite was a girl in a bed chewing on a Barbie. "Boop"

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Well spaced, we did not run into a group at all...

Appropriate Ages: 6+

Props / Special FX: Some decent animatronics, nice 3-D maze, nicely detailed.

Costumes / Make-up: Mostly make-up inside the house, a couple of masks.

Summary: This is an enjoyable haunt. Auburn is a great stop for two haunts just down the street from each other. I recommend doing the this one first.
When you enter, you are handed 3-D glasses and you wind through a colorful maze that is very well done. It would have been nice to have a scare during the maze, it felt like a missed opportunity.
Once out of the maze we entered rooms with different scenes with some decent special effects. The head smasher seemed to not be working well, was to dark to see the "result". Two notables were the girl in the bed as well as the funeral.
The house has a definite dank smell and the sets are nicely done. They do a good job and seem to have fun.
When you exit you land in a very nice gift shop with some very neat items!!
All in all>> Good.
