|Scare Factor: Medium | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Seriously? Its six flags!
Wait Entertainment: Always great, but really they roam the whole park.
Length of Event: Depended on which of the haunts you went through. Some only 3 minutes others 7-8
Actor Performance: This needs to be better. One of the houses literally just had people dressed up standing in one spot looking at you. I'm not talking about one character I am talking about every character. No movement, no sounds, just standing there. (This was in the smaller haunt in hurricane harbor btw) Some of the acting has been better in the medical center etc. at least last few years. This year though, I felt like there was little to no acting training happening. Im presuming I am wrong about that, but I think these guys needed some better or stronger direction, energy, and creativity. This year no-one really interacted with us as they did in the past. Usually one of our witty comments would be met with a snarky remark or even a response, but nothing this year.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: They kept us moving, and never ran into another group.
Appropriate Ages: 7+
Props / Special FX: Pretty good.
Costumes / Make-up: Just o.k.
Summary: I usually don't give the whole rundown of each haunt I visit since I visit 10+ ever season, but I usually like to share just a few of the improvements I saw over last year if I visited it before as well as mention anything that I think might be helpful for the future of the haunt.
I would say that some of my first favorite haunt memories came from visiting six flags. I remember a guy rocking on a tombstone before he jumped off of it at us and freaked out in mausoleum of terror. I remember saying amen to a friends comment at one of the old army attractions when a actor said, "Well, I got some bones, can I get a Halleluia!" it was funny to be responded to like that. The medical center was a great improvement as well as the outdoor area in terms of creativity, but I feel the actors just need some help at this point. I think you probably have capable actors, that just need some guidance. I like the changes that have been made over the last few years in terms of environment, and longer haunts. Now I would focus on acting. I love fright fest and would love to see it doing well!
