| Overall Score:|
|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Located at the Cordova racetrack, not hard to locate with GPS but same place for years now and we attend this every year.
Not well marked from the roadway so it could be hard to locate ..
Wait Entertainment: Wait by the fire for your group to be called out, a few characters walking around ..
Length of Event: This event took us around 45 minutes from the bus ride to the haunted houses ..
Actor Performance: Everytime we attend this event the workers give 100 percent and this year was no different - nice work and everyone stayed on character ..
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow was very good and we really never encountered any group issues.. We had no stop several times to get the triggering back on line but it never presented a problem ..
Appropriate Ages: I would say 12 years old would be about the right age here, there are lots of in your face scares here..
Props / Special FX: The props and special effects haven't changed that much over the years, but they have hundreds of different props so there is plenty to see here.. They incorporate a nice touch of automation with plenty of workers to keep you off balance and something is always coming at you ..
Costumes / Make-up: Costumes and makeup are above average and in the most part well done.. There are some characters who could use more detail and makeup but overall not bad ..
Summary: We attend this event every year and it continues to do a great job bring out the scare factor, they know exactly what they are doing .. This remote setting in the rear of the racetrack provides plenty of woods and buildings to keep everything exciting and great length .. I would have liked to see more new sets this year, it seemed to much like last year.. The bus ride to h--e--double-hockey-sticks (censored) was great as usual, this is their trademark event and I can't imagine them ever getting rid of this.. (Sad news that opening week it wasn't working)
My only issue here is that they need a VIP pass to speed up visitors who don't want to kill the entire night here, waiting times can easily exceed 3 hours - a majority of the quests enjoy the fire and surroundings but 3 hours is crazy .. They keep bring the goods here and looking forward to more next year..
