| Overall Score:|
|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Same location for 15 plus years, in the deep woods of Marquette Heights, great setting as always .. Easy to find with large flashing light sign from the roadside and well illuminated entryway, also hydrogen light pacing the sky ..
Wait Entertainment: The line contained several figures dressed to kill which entertained the crowds ..
Length of Event: I never paced the timing but it was around 20 minutes maybe slightly longer - good length overall ..
Actor Performance: This was definitely a hit and miss year here, some gave 100 percent while others almost seemed asleep - there is some work needed here.. In years past they have always gave 100 percent and nobody lacked in character, this year some actors just wasn't involved in the scares ..
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow throughout this attraction has always been spotty and this year it didn't improve one bit, continuous bottlenecks throughout the trail .. I have said before that with the length of this attraction it could be broken into two groups for each attraction (as it use to be) and prevent May of these issues ..
Appropriate Ages: I would say 10 years and above wouldn't have any issues here, but there is considerable walking and some in your face scares ..
Props / Special FX: This is why the rating is 9 and not 8, these people excell on quality high tech projections, screens, CGI and full automation throughout the attraction .. They have so much detail in their sets that you could go through three times and still not see every detail .. Much improved over last year and that's an incredible statement - they are loaded with high quality props ..
Costumes / Make-up: The costumes and the makeup are second to none, for years they have excelled in this department and that continues this year - solid first class makeup .. That's another reason they get a higher rating than 8..
Summary: We have attend this attraction every year since it began, that's the respect we have with this group. This years attraction they seemed to up the game even more, every set we attended whether outside on the trail or inside the haunted house was extremely well done and provided some type of scare factor.. The only issues we notice was the delays encountered trying to get through the event, this attraction draws very large crowds and therefore it would be difficult preventing the bottlenecking issues but not impossible .. The entry fee of $25.00 for standard admission seems somewhat expensive for a Central Illinois haunt but this year they actually deleived the goods - very good job ..
