Visibility/Location: This is a small community and the event is in a large venue The Bureau County Fairgrounds on a major highway. Well lite.

Wait Entertainment: They always do a great job. This year however the wait entertainment was less than in years past. They had a skipping clown that was really good and aggressive.

Length of Event: They have two events so overall if you do everything I suppose 25 minutes or more.

Actor Performance: It was either really good or average. There is a black clad psycho that was as close to breaking the touch rule as I have seen. Clowns are great but not as aggressive as other haunts. Scarecrows actually freaked me out

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We caught up with a group and then lost them. A group caught up with us then hung back.

Appropriate Ages: Dimension X probably over 16 but the i saw really young kids go through here.

Props / Special FX: The pirates rate as as some of the best eye candy I have seen. They do 3D,ok not great, Vortex tunnel in 3D, lots of different stuff not commercial.A puppet does the rules....really cool.

Costumes / Make-up: They have stepped up the game but not there yet. Lots of silicone and some cheesy latex along with some decent makeup. There hit the mark enough to overcome those shortcomings.

Summary: This is a different kind of a haunt that has always been hard to describe.Dimension X is a blindfolded event where touching is allowed. It is different than anything else out there. The haunt is not as loud or not laid out like a maze.I want to be entertained this haunt does that. This is old school with some cutting edge.

Visibility/Location: Located at the Princeton fairgrounds, use the GPS .. Not very well marked from the road, however after turning in the site is marked.

Wait Entertainment: There were several monsters walking outside the atttraction, everything acceptable ..

Length of Event: After entering the event it took us around 20 minutes or slightly less..

Actor Performance: The actors all done a very good job, nobody broke character and for the most part was very convincing...

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow throughout the multiple Attractions was seamless and we encountered no issues..

Appropriate Ages: I would say anyone over 8 years old could handle this event, there is some light in your face..?

Props / Special FX: The props was very well done, especially the pirate ship... There is no high tech props or CGI effects, but they do a fantastic job pulling this off.

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes and makeup was ok, however there were too many masks for my liking .. I usually prefer a quality makeup application over a rubber mask, however the masks were good..

Summary: This has become a very popular attraction and there's reason, they always do a very good job and give you a lot of bang for your buck .. I like how they have expanded the haunt to several buildings and therefore extending the time .. It was a very good experience, and the Phantom of the Opera this year was a great addition!
The only weak part this year was the final event, walking through the haunted stables.. There was so much potential with the dark gloomy stables, however nothing occurred, no monsters or effects, nothing !
I also would like to see the hayride return from years ago, it wasn't scary, but it did provide some interesting views of the dark abandoned fair grounds which were ominous..
This is a very good event and is presented by a group of individuals who really get into the Halloween haunt theme ..

Visibility/Location: Easy to get to at the fairgrounds west edge of town. Nice marquee sign at the entrance.

Wait Entertainment: Petty good this year. A strange clown of sorts, an insane girl, and a real creepy guy dressed in all black that crawled around on all fours and liked to untie peoples shoes. The wait was close to an hour, so the line entertainment helped pass the time.

Length of Event: I'd guess it to be about an hour long once we got inside the first door.

Actor Performance: Very good again this year. Some familiar characters that always do a great job, some new.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Really smooth. Did not see any other groups ahead or behind us.

Appropriate Ages: 12+ maybe 14+.

Props / Special FX: Another great year for this place. It's obvious they spend months preparing the haunt. I think there were a few new props. Most props look to be one of a kind, or at least I've never seen anything like them before.

Costumes / Make-up: A few actors obviously spend time and money on their costumes and makeup. I appreciate the effort. Most are average. Still good, but average. Then there was a few that wore nothing but a $10 Walmart mask and regular street cloths. Disappointing, but they did preform well as actors so that kind of makes up for it.

Summary: Hey! The hayrack ride was back this year! Thank you. I like it. Kind of a nice break half way between the barn walks. Also, I went into this place they call Dimension X, where the actors are allowed to touch you, or touch you with strange / creepy items. You are blind folded during this part, so your mind plays tricks on you. Nothing overly bad unless you allow your mind to mess with you. Love those Clowns, funny and scary at the same time. Total of three buildings, with that hayrack ride between buildings 2 and 3. Well worth the $10 entry. Recommended.
