|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Good|
Visibility/Location: This place is a nightmare to find, located in an old building on an abandoned military base, use GPS system .. Nothing really marked on the main roads and signs only when your actually upon it .. we attended last year and still had to look for it ..
Wait Entertainment: There was somewhat of a light crowd tonight so no real line entertainment needed, we got through quickly ... They have always had people working the crowd in past years so I'm sure they're still doing it when needed ..
Length of Event: I'd say the entire event took around 15 minutes...
Actor Performance: Everyone done an exceptional job with there characters and only a few broke character for a second, but everything was acceptable..
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The flow was very good and we experienced no issues, but remember this was a light crowd night.. I don't remember any problems with bottlenecking last year, so I'd say everything is fine with the flow throughout ..
Appropriate Ages: I would say an 8 years old would be fine, nothing in your face here ..
Props / Special FX: The props can range from basic to very good, you have a complete range here ... in the most part everything was well done ... It would be nice to see the old crank ghost and air animation hangman again, but at least we still experienced the spinning floor ... Would like to see at least some basic CGI come into this haunted house, but waiting ..
Costumes / Make-up: Costumes and makeup was acceptable here, nothing too much though - they could use a little more makeup detail and enhancement .. I don't remember too many masks here, which is a good thing ..
Summary: This event use to be held in a massive old school house where they had literally unlimited room to present there haunt, they have just a fraction of that here, however they do a great job with what the got ...
This event is actually a fundraiser for the local Boy Scout group and so that must be taken into consideration, and they do an exceptional job with what they've got ..
We entered the attraction waiting room and moved from room to hallway to room seamlessly surrounded by various props and monsters coming after us... It's interesting that some of the old 3D prints have made it from the school house days, kinda nostalgic for us.. The spinning floor was a nice touch, however somebody was behind the switch as we approached it - no, that's the twist with this spinning effect, let it ride ! It was overall an enjoyable experience however too close to last years, needed a little more changing up - you have to keep things updating ..
It's unfortunate that the best part of this haunted house, being the maze, which took some people a considerable amount of time to get through, still hasn't been adapted here.. Maybe with the size difference it's not feasible possible, but it sure would give a new dimension to this attraction .. Overall the old brick military buildings isn't too bad, but just needs some more fright inside it ...
