The
Pumpkin Patch is an outstanding family-oriented event.
With their huge
pumpkin along the side of the road and highly visible signage, you can’t miss this
seasonal attraction.
The pleasant staff and small community surroundings
provide a nice family-friendly atmosphere.
There is ample parking, as well as plenty of picnic
tables and paved pathways to make your visit more enjoyable.
There is also a free petting zoo, along with numerous
activities for children, including a slide, pony rides and a
Kiddy Korn Maze (which is smaller than the main corn maze).
And I can’t forget to mention pumpkins.
They have a wide variety of pumpkins for sale.
The Pumpkin Patch also has several wagons available, that
patrons can use to transport their pumpkins back to the parking
area.
The
centerpiece of the Pumpkin Patch is the barn. Inside you will find a costume shop, gift shop, bakery and the Pumpkin
Cafe. In the
costume shop they have a wide variety of costumes, while the
gift shop has everything from scented candles & crafts to
Halloween music CDs. In
the bakery you can buy fresh-baked cookies, pies, as well as
cider, pumpkin donuts and other baked goods.
The Pumpkin Café is a great place to have a snack and
take a break.
One of
their main attractions is The Haunted Shed, which is appropriate
for Halloween fans of all ages. The Shed is filled with numerous
static scenes, featuring creatures like the Bride of
Frankenstein, skeletons, and other ghoulish characters.
With spooky music soundtracks playing and eerie
multi-colored lighting, the Haunted Shed really puts you in the
mood for Halloween!
The main
attraction at The Pumpkin Patch is their enormous cornfield
maze. The maze is
set in a 7 acre corn field.
There are more than two miles of walking paths, carved
out of the cornfield, in the shape of a scarecrow’s face. With
its multiple paths and dead ends, this maze will keep you
guessing! A person could easily spend more than an hour just
trying to find their way out.
Posted periodically throughout the maze are various
amusing signs, each with original artwork & clever quips, letting you know if
you are on the right track or just going in circles.
When I saw the same sign three times, I knew I had better
take another path if I wanted to get out of there!
With an admission price of only $6.00, the cornfield maze
is quite a bargain.
With
activities for all ages, this attraction has something for
everyone. I highly
recommend this event.
