Summary:
This
attraction really started off in a unique way, as groups were
slowly lowered into the depths of the building in a freight
elevator. In the beginning, a good portion of the attraction
consisted of dark twisting hallways (some you could see where you
were going, while
others were pitch black). Once you were about halfway
through the house, though, the
scenes were placed closer together, so the action seemed to
build toward the end.
Throughout
the attraction there
were scenes of various themes. With everything from their
depiction of Hell with devilish creatures, to the strobe room
filled with fog, the Westmont Jaycees created a
great spooky atmosphere.
All of
the actors were very much into their roles and quite
intimidating at times. Most of them stalked the customers
as they walked by, while others jumped out to startle
everyone in the group. In the toxic
waste scene, actors could be seen hiding behind barrels, before
they were able to attack, but overall all the actors performed
well and most of the surprise attacks were well timed and effective.
In some scenes, like the bloody bathroom, actors seemed to come
out of nowhere.
The
Westmont Jaycees really put on a great
show this year. It was well worth the affordable $6.00 admission price.
