The previous year that my group attended there was 2 haunts, Fear Factory and Psychosis. This year the haunt combined the 2 haunts together to make one larger haunt.
Once you entered the haunt, it appeared that you were in some kind of waiting room of an old hotel. Lady Veronica greeted us and told us to have a seat on the bench. She said "Please sit down while I tell you the rules, any questions? .... I don't care." She really got us laughing at her short abrupt speech. She then told us to get on the elevator.
As we stood in the elevator, it shook, and started to spin and move in herky-jerky movements. It made you lose your sense of direction a bit.
The first area we entered was another sitting area with couches. The area is highly decorated in an eerie way. A man came out of nowhere and taunted us to find a way out of the room. As I mentioned previously some of the rooms are "Find Your Way" rooms. You had to search through the room for the door. They seem to have this down and this is a great way to control the crowd through the house since the rooms are strategically placed throughout the haunt.
We entered a library where the resident librarian wanted us to stay and read. This was another room that you had to find your way out. She repeatedly led us in wrong directions around the room to make us stay as long as possible in the room.
A clown wanted us to play "Duck, Duck, Goose" with him. Jumping in and out of our faces and really playing the part of the creepy clown. I am not the biggest fan of clowns and this guy played it well!
One area that we entered appeared to be one of the cheaper rooms in the hotel. The bed was not a bed that you would want to lay in since there was someone already in it.
Towards the middle of the house, you go camping. As you walked by the eerie green "Lake" you noticed a tent up ahead and knew you were going to have to walk through it. The scare is amazing in this room and got all three of us. You never saw it coming. The special effect in this area was one of the best that I have seen with creating water.
One of the standout actors was a woman that did not speak at all, she just followed you throughout the room. Just staring at you. She then led you to what appeared to be a bathroom complete with a shower and many bugs.
Add in a very steep slide, dark hallways, a chain-link fence maze, and large rooms with actors hiding in an out of every nook and cranny, it made a perfect haunt.
The final area of the haunted house is one like I had not seen done before. You exit the house and you are in a junkyard. There is something unnerving about crawling and having someone behind you with a chainsaw. Well-played!
Last year when we visited we enjoyed both houses, and this year since they combined the 2 haunts together makes it perfect. There is so much to take in throughout this haunt.
The price this year is $5.00 less. Each year that we have visited this house they seem to up their game. With combining 2 houses into one house they have mastered it.
I would definitely give them a visit this year!
