Visibility/Location: This location did have ample parking and sufficient signage, it was visible from the road. Overall it was easy to find, GPS lead us to the event without a problem.
Wait Entertainment: There was some wait entertainment, however the inclement weather did put a damper on all of the outdoor activities.

Inside the waiting area there are concessions, areas to sit as well as movies playing.

A radio station was present however when we arrive everyone seemed to be in a state of disarray as the storms that rolled through caused some damage and delays.
Admission Price: $25 for the 3 attraction wristband. you can also choose to purchase VIP tickets and individual attraction tickets.
Parking: Free
Length:

10 Minutes
This location has 3 attractions, however 2 of the 3 were closed due to the weather.

* = Since people move through haunted attractions at different rates, your time will vary. Note: The time shown here represents the actual time spent moving forward through the attraction. Time spent waiting in queue lines, staging areas, intro scenes, rules rooms and when traffic jams cause patrons to come to a halt, has been subtracted.

LPR: 3.500
LPR stands for Length/Price Ratio. It represents perceived value of an event, by comparing length vs price of admission. Higher numbers represent more value per dollar. Actual quality and/or entertainment value of an event are not factors in this calculation. Click Here to see how this event compares to others visited this year by the staff of HauntedIllinois.com.
Scare Factor: Medium
Crowd Control: Crowd control was not really well used in this location. we found that there seemed to be a lot of confusion on when to let anyone into the house that was open and even then ran into other groups frequently while moving at a moderate pace.

Summary:

Upon arrival we were prompted with a pretty bad storm coming through the area and this put a damper on this event and what we were able to see. 2 of the 3 attractions that were outside were shut down for the night. When arriving we had no way to tell that this was the case, we only knew based on the amount of people getting refunds for the 2 attractions. After we finally reached the ticket window we found out that 2 of the 3 attractions were indeed closed for the night and only the main haunted house was open.

After getting our tickets we waited for close to an hour to be given the all clear to proceed to Massacre Mansion which was open. We found that we were met with another line. There was a lot of confusion and minimal direction on when they would start allowing anyone into the show. This was likely caused by the bad weather and likely upset their entire night to some degree. There were several actors who were doing line scares and interacting with the crowd. We did encounter an slight situation where the person I was with was what seemingly unintentionally pinned against the wall multiple times by one of the line scare actors that was having difficult maneuvering through the line.

After finally getting into the haunted house we were greeted by a man who gave us a very brief rundown of the rules and a little information about the attraction. We were told that much of the attraction is dark and would have minimal if not any lighting at all.

We saw that this was indeed the case as we moved into the first part of the show. lots of dark hallways and a couple actors scattered throughout. Once getting through this area we entered into a medical section with some gory characters and a mix of props. We did not seem to get in on a night that had a lot of energy, and I suspect that it was at least mostly due to the poor weather. As we continued through we saw some great scenes and wonderful props including a crypt/graveyard of sorts, a bunch of wild hillbillies and some other fun rooms. There did not seem to be much of a set story in this show, however the scenes all had fun touches.

This attractions is well geared towards families and from what I saw seems to have a lot to offer to make a good evening out of the event if all the attractions were open. Unfortunately we were unable to view all the attractions. This was not the fault of this attraction at all, it was poor weather.

Overall this show was enjoyable, however seemed pretty low energy and a bit disorganized I would be interested in seeing more of this show in the future and seeing all the attractions.
