First Annual
Indiana-Ohio Haunter Gathering
May 17, 2008 - New
Paris, Ohio On Saturday May 17 the IN-OH Haunters Build Group hosted their First Annual Indiana-Ohio Haunter's
Gathering in New Paris, Ohio. Throughout the day, there were various Haunt-related activities for people to participate in, along with a great potluck lunch.
In the morning there was a life casting demo and afterward attendees crafted their own tombstones out of Styrofoam, using drills, Dremel tools, paint and other materials. The creative blood was flowing, as plain blue blocks of Styrofoam were transformed into realistic-looking tombstones. Later in the day, there was a showing of the movie "Silent Hill", projected onto a makeshift screen made from a dingy-looking distressed sheet, with singed edges.
Throughout the course of the day, everyone had a great time socializing and sharing tips
& tricks of the Haunt trade. It was a great networking opportunity for local area Haunters. They had a great turn-out for a first year gathering. Overall it was an educational & enjoyable day, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to attend.
