2008 Zombie March Chicago
When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth. Events like this have been happening in other cities across the country and on Saturday, it was the Windy City’s turn. On the afternoon of June 21st, 2008, Chicago Illinois was invaded by a massive hoard of zombies! Well, people dressed as zombies anyway.
The organizers of this Zombie March Chicago event had a make-up area all set up, for those in need of some extra glorification, prior to the march. Once everyone was properly zombified, the group of undead creatures gathered at Millennium Park. The first two hundred zombies received a “I survived Zombie March Chicago 2008” button courtesy of
HalloweenButtons.com. After listening to an introduction and rules explaining zombie etiquette (no blocking traffic, etc), the large group of zombies shambled down Chicago city streets. It was definitely a lot of fun and judging by the large turn-out, I’m sure there will be more of these events in the future.
Below are some of the pictures that I took during the Zombie March.
