Visibility/Location: The location of this place could use some better marking as some of the group we were traveling with completely missed the sign to turn off of IL 113.

Wait Entertainment: After paying your admission your wait to board a hay rack is very short. Once the hay rack get's going it makes a couple of stops in front of some homes where actors scare you. At one point some actors were chasing after the rackrack we were traveling on. When arriving to the haunted house the line was quite long but there was video screen entertainment as well as several actors that would pop out of hiding places to scare the crowd. This kept the long wait from getting too boring for the children we had in our group.

Length of Event: We arrived around 7 PM and we were back to our car around 9 PM. I would estimate our wait in line at the haunted house was around an hour which would leave about an hour for the ride and haunted house.

Actor Performance: The actors really got into their parts and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of actors involved. When we thought it was over we were surprised to be entertained and scared on the ride back to our cars.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The patrons were let in groups up to about 4 or 5 people into the haunted house. Even though the line was long IMHO they should have allowed a little more time between parties because a few times I saw what was about to happen because we had caught up to the party in front of us.

Appropriate Ages: 8 and up

Props / Special FX: The props and special effects were good but not mind blowing. If intense gore is what scares you then you won't find much of that at this attraction. The scares are mainly the jumping out at you type.

Costumes / Make-up: The actor costumes and make up were good and convincing. There were several points which you could not tell if the props were real or fake until they jumped at you.

Summary: Seeing the amount of money many of these attractions are charging this one is an incredible value. For your money you get a hay rack ride with plenty of scares and a haunted house. I only wish they were running it more days this season.

Visibility/Location: The location of the event is very easy to find. The hayrack on the other hand takes off on an amazing ride down a gravel road.

Wait Entertainment: There was hardly any wait to get on the hayrack and freak from wrxq was broadcasting. Going into the haunted house they have a neat set up to see and hear the rules!

Length of Event: This event was about and hour and a half long by the time you go on the hayrack ride through the haunted house and walk the creepy trail.

Actor Performance: the actors did an awesome job. The transition from room to room was great with people poping out everywhere.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The spacing of the groups was excellent. there was never a point in which i met up with a different group than the one i went in with. the actors had the perfect amount of time to be ready to scare the next group.

Costumes / Make-up: Some of the actors costumes looked very proffesional. Their make up was very detailed and real looking. Even the people behind the scenes were dressed to scare.

Summary: Custer Twp. Fire Dept. Halloween Spooktacular is the best haunted house i have been to in a while. The actors skills as well as there make up was very surprising. The different scenes are well worth it and it is a fun time.
