|Scare Factor: Low | Atmosphere: Fair|
Visibility/Location: Easy to find, car outside church with yellow lights..big banner hanging..
Wait Entertainment: Just a couple of times the scarers came by--clown and guy in hospital gown. trivia on screen was ok.
Length of Event: about 10 mins
Actor Performance: I don't know if it was because most of the seemed to be kids, or they had us in large groups because of line, but not very scary.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The holding area is long and then you get moved into the casket room with only a guy wiggling in the casket and rotten flowers to creep the room up..We were moved at a fast pace than years past, and only the first in group got the scare.
Appropriate Ages: Ummmm....second graders on up...nice church fund raiser....they ve been doing it for a long time.
Props / Special FX: because this is a haunt that has been around for a long time, it needs some freshening up...2 things that were good were the hallway with string and the claustraphobic tunnel.I still do not get the gas chamber?
Costumes / Make-up: some were good especially at entrance of boiler room..but the scarers were easy to spot with their gym shoes exposed. some good masks.
Summary: I realize that the haunted house is on a budget because of church but it could use some new props, etc...some of the long hallways should have more than a scarer in gym shoes waiting to growl at you...I enjoy supporting the church and do appreciate the time volunteers put into it. It does put me in the spirit of halloween.. the hot chocolate and popcorn help to pass the time in line as does the trivia until the questions start to repeat themselves..line could have moved faster to get in, not fast once inside..we were told 40 mins and it was well over 1 1/2 hours.
