Visibility/Location: The location has been the same for a couple of years now and there is a sign that points you to it from the main road and someone who points you into the parking lot.

Wait Entertainment: There was one actor outside and one actor in the indoor waiting area. They have a screen playing a repeat commercial of the fear channel or something like that. The wait area has an industrial look so it would be cool if they used the projector and played scenes of movies that took place in industrial settings.

Length of Event: It took my group about 15 minutes to walk through the entire house. It felt like less than that but i guess someone in my group timed it with their cell phone.

Actor Performance: Most actors stayed in character but since patron flow was an issue that played a factor into their performance because they never had a chance to use the element of surprise. Good job to them for still giving their best effort with what they had.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: First off i was in a group of four, we asked if we could go alone but we were forced to enter with another group of four so it ended up a group of eight. Within the first 5 minutes the group behind us caught up and after about 10 we caught up to a group in front of us. This made for a pretty boring walk thru the house and my girlfriend was so upset when she exited she decided to count the people behind us which ended up being 9. So add that to our 8 and we had a total of 17 people all bunched together for a majority of the house. Keep in mind the people in front of us were not counted.

Appropriate Ages: I would say 10 and up sounds about right.

Props / Special FX: Here is one area that impressed me. The props and special FX were all great and the scents made the scenes a bit more realistic. The bloody operating room and the forest like area are both very nice.

Costumes / Make-up: Costumes were not the best there were some good ones and some that looked homemade. Makeup probably could have been better as well there was one scene that looked like ordinary people just got a job and started working without any makeup or costumes.

Summary: Overall this has to be one of my worst experiences at a haunted attraction. The patron flow was just unacceptable for such a big name attraction 17+ people all bunched up together leaves you very little chance to be scared or surprised. I will give them credit for having very nice and detailed scenes using nice props and FX but that was the only shining light at a dim lit party. The waiting area could use some tweaks and the costumes and make-up should definitely be worked on this way actors could look just as good as the props and scenes that surround them. I would recommend that those that have been here in the past try some place new this year and give the folks at Dream Reapers a chance to work on their flaws.

Visibility/Location: They could use a sign or two on Sheridan Road. Im sure most people are using some form of GPS to get there and that is the main street before you get sent down side streets and find some street closures so a simple sign would help. I do like the location itself and driving down some of those dark side streets just adds to the atmosphere.

Wait Entertainment: They did have some concessions outside so that was a plus. The waiting area is inside so no need to worry about getting wet or cold. A few actors walking around and the waiting area is somewhat similar to the way it was set up at their old location. It was the first time for some of the people i was with and they were impressed by the wait area.

Length of Event: I did not specifically time the event but if i had to take a guess i would say it is for sure upwards of 30minutes. I took a guess before my group arrived and was thinking we would be in and out in about 20minutes and i am pretty sure it was well past that.

Actor Performance: Most actors stayed in character but i would say that there were one or two that just could not help themselves and give me and another person in my group some trash talk about me wearing a sox jacket and him wearing a cubs jacket. I did found it kind of funny but it did kind of kill the mood. Another also decided that cracking some mexican jokes and talking his best spanish would be funny, i crack jokes like that because im mexican/american but the actor needs to be careful because someone may take it the wrong way. Overall i would say Actor Performance was about 8 our of 10 because a few could have been more energetic.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: While walking thru pathways and scenes we never ran into other groups until the wristband check points and Buried Alive.

Appropriate Ages: I would follow their guidelines because they will deny you entry if you try and bring a little kid.

Props / Special FX: All of the stationary and handheld props looked great, but some of the mechanical props appeared to be off timing or moving to slow to really surprise us. Special FX were great, I think the foam/snow section was the most tripped out for me and the first time i ever scene that in a haunted house.

Costumes / Make-up: All of the costumes and make-up looked good. Like someone else stated there are very few people wearing masks and this just adds to the overall feeling and detail required to scare people.

Summary: Overall I really enjoyed DoD and the new location. I would encourage anyone looking to spend more than average time (10-15 minutes) in a haunt to visit the house. The acting was good, the costumes, props and fx were good, and the length of this event is well above average. I felt comfortable with the price point, the only thing i will say is that DoD should inform you(all guests) on how many wristband checkpoints you are to encounter in the house because some other reviews are describing scenes i did not encounter or do not recall seeing with my own eyes. SO it is kind of in the back of my head that i drove more than an hour away to miss some part of the attraction. And its kind of weird that they send you through one pathway and another group thru another at the same time but you never come across them. Just makes me feel like im missing whatever they are seeing. Anyhow goodluck to all those attending and be prepared to dodge, duck, and crawl.
