| Overall Score:|
|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Can't be seen from the road, and is a bit of a walk from the parking lot.
Wait Entertainment: While I was there. There was a Female Clown like character with a green tutu and squeaky toys.
Length of Event: Probably 10 min.
Actor Performance: The Actors preformed very very well! While hanging out I personally witnessed 9 people from different groups exit via a fire door from being scared!
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Fairly quick. No real stopping.
Appropriate Ages: I would say teen and up although I did see a little girl of 8 make it while some of her teen companions bailed out.
Props / Special FX: Lots of strobe lights were put to a good use, It gave me a sense that the halls were tilting. No animatronics.
Costumes / Make-up: The make up was all well done, a few characters sported UV paint, the zobmbies were all nice and bloody and no two were the same. The blood doll was awesome, and the clowns were creepy!
Summary: I had the chance to partake in a one of my favorite seasonal pastimes, The Haunted House.
For my excursion I chose one in near Chicago, The Dark Summit. In Summit IL. This Haunt resides in the Summit Park District Facility and is a bit of a walk from the parking lot. Do not let that hinder you! This was one of the best haunts this spookster has been to in years. The ticket price was very reasonable and the rooms all had a dark carnival theme. All of the characters were very creepy and their makeup was well done, NO Masks or animatronics here folks! If you are looking for a good time hit this one folks, You don't want to miss it!
