|Scare Factor: Low | Atmosphere: Fair|
Visibility/Location: This location was easy to find and is housed in a sports dome, so there is a lot of space to utilize. There is signage out front advertising the haunt.
Wait Entertainment: There was no wait entertainment.
Length of Event: Approximately 15 minutes
Actor Performance: Average. The actors mostly were of the "jump out and yell at you to go away" variety, with little variation across different areas of the haunt.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Not very good - altogether on the night I went there were only about 8 people there (including myself and my girlfriend). We were alone when we entered and then ran into a group of six people about 1/3 of the way in and never got separated from them. There was no attempt to keep us apart.
Appropriate Ages: 12+
Props / Special FX: There were few props to speak of. The haunt consisted mostly of endless corridors, with one area of cages/mirrors/strobe lights intended to disorient and confuse. There were also a few pressurised flexible wall areas that you had to squeeze through.
Costumes / Make-up: There were one or two actors who were in more elaborate masks and costumes, but mostly the actors had on zombie-like makeup with normal clothes.
Summary: Overall, this haunt was extremely disappointing. Before going I read reviews on hauntedillinois and elsewhere and this haunt ranged from one oft he top 3 haunts to one of the top 10 in Illinois, depending on where you looked. However, once there, I found there were very few sets and little variation in the actors' performances - most of which were simply screams to get out and keep moving. In one area we wound up locked ina metal cage with several people and no one would let us out for about 5 minutes - there was nothing going on in the troom, but the actors continued to ingore us and just kept us there. It was not entertaining. In fact, about 1/3 of the way in I was really regretting even being there. I will say that the beginning of the haunt was very promising - upon entering you are placed in an outdoor scene, with giant webs everywhere, fake grass, and a "stone" path that you follow to a doorway. Being in a giant blowup dome really added to the effect of being in a huge outdoor space, and the webs were supplemented by laser lights that gave everything an unreal, sppoky quality, which is perfect for a haunted house. Unfortunately things went downhill rapidly from there. Inside there was little to look at and little to do except grope around in the dark and get stuck in narrow corridors. We were taken through the same area of cages and strobe lights at least twice, and very few actors bothered to do more than just yell at us. Overall, I found it to be a very ineffective use of the huge space that the dome afforded, and for $18 per person I found the entertainment value to be very low. Personally, the only thing that 'distrubed' me about this haunt was the price I paid to get in. If there were more actual sets, more things to look at and more varied actor performances this could be an excellent haunt, but unfortunately it's currently a case of "don't believe the hype", with the advertising being very out of synch with what is actually delivered.

|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Golf Dome in Addison.
Wait Entertainment: Different and disturbing actors in various costumes and characters.
Length of Event: 20 minutes
Actor Performance: The actors all did very well.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Some people move very slowly, but I feel the actors assisted in the flow as good as can be expected.
Appropriate Ages: Yes
Props / Special FX: Different light effects and decorations than I have seen anywhere. They did a great job in setting the tone.
Costumes / Make-up: Good.
Summary: This place was awesome. I found there to be surprises around every corner. The burlap area is a little funky and not that inventive. There is an area with narrow bags that you walk thru that is difficult to navigate, but is fitting to the torment theme of the haunt. I very much enjoyed the cage area which has been differently designed from the previous years. The maze of doors area was cool and a little tricky. I thought it to be pretty interesting. The room with the girl getting tortured and dude on stilts was insane. I was trapped in a cage and watched a torture scene and then the attack was turned on me, nice. If you have a fear of clowns, watch out. I was freaking in the clown room, it was sick. It was all pretty scary thru the rest of the house. I loved it.

Visibility/Location: It was easy to spot. You can't really miss it, there is a truck with the haunts name on it and they have an advertisement of the house on the corner. So you really can't miss it.
Wait Entertainment: There were a couple of the actors scaring people in line.
Length of Event: About 15-20 minutes.
Actor Performance: My experience there the characters stayed in character the hole time. They did a great job breaking your own personal space. Some did better then others.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: The patron flow was pretty good. My friends and I didn't run into any groups really just once and it was just two girls.
Appropriate Ages: 13+
Props / Special FX: One of my favorite props in the haunt was the room that had a couple a doors. The cage maze and also the clown room was very detailed and had an effect as if the room was moving.
Costumes / Make-up: All the actor's makeup looked pretty similar, a couple of actors were wearing masks but not many. Most of the actors just had ripped up street clothes with blood on them.
Summary: In the end the haunt wasn't bad I had some good screams with my friends. I really liked how some of the rooms were well decorated, like the waiting area with the spider webs and laser show. In my opinion I think costumes and makeup need more work. A couple of the actors need to show more energy. I had more then one favorite actor I really liked. The clowns in the clown room were pretty scary especially the little girl clowns laugh and character really creeped me out. I loved the detail in the room with all the doors. But overall my favorite room was toward the end with animal heads on the wall. The victim was getting "tortured" by another actor and it seemed so realistic as if he was actually hurting her. Both of them were full of energy. It was hard to believe that was acting. What really had me was the chainsaw guy chasing me out that gave me a good scare. I just didn't really think the makeup and costumes fit the characters at all for some of the actors. The pale white face with dark eyes made everything feel really unrealistic. Other then that I thought it was worth the price for the haunt.
