Visibility/Location: This haunt is very easy to find. It is located under the grandstands on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Plenty of parking available.

Wait Entertainment: There were no actors waiting to give a scare and this was sad because it was dimly lit and there were all kinds of places for a good scare.

Length of Event: It took around fifteen minutes.

Actor Performance: Too many small children!! Not scary!!! Honestly, there was only one scene that really scared us and that was the final room with the chainsaw guys.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We got there well after the event opened and there was no wait! We were the only group going through at that time.

Appropriate Ages: Depends on your child, but I would not hesitate to take my seven year old daughter through.

Props / Special FX: The props throughout this haunt were so so. More effort was made on total darkness, which has its own element of scare.

Costumes / Make-up: Honestly, in most areas of the haunt it is so dark that you cant even see the actors, you just hear their voices. The clown room had great potential, but the actors fell way short.

Summary: I realize that all haunts have their scares and that each haunt will affect people in a different way, but this haunt just didnt work for us. The scare factor was very low and there was little to no gore at all! Is this a good haunt for families? I would say yes because I feel any age group could make it through. Is this a good haunt for a high scare factor and lots of gore? In my opinion, no! There were way too many small children working this haunt. On a positive note, the final scene with the chainsaw guys was really scary. When entering the room you will have the items hanging from the ceiling to navigate through and the chainsaw guys come out of no where! It is my opinion that the value for your scare dollar just isnt here. I dont like to be negative because I realize how much time and effort goes into these haunts. Just being honest.

Visibility/Location: This haunt was very easy to locate. As you come into town a flashing sign gives you information and you can see the erie lights of the haunt just off the main highway.

Wait Entertainment: There were no actors outside to give a scare. But this may have been because outside the haunt was wide open spaces. There was some erie music playing and the occasional sounds from within the haunt kept your interest!

Length of Event: It took about twenty minutes to get through.

Actor Performance: The actors were fantastic! The timing of the actors was perfect and they blended in with the scenes very well!

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We were the second group to go through and as we entered another group was in line behind us. They held us for a couple of minutes at the entrance and the timing was perfect as we never ran into the group ahead of us nor did the group behind us catch up! Also, the timing kept the groups separated so you didnt hear what was happening in the next room ahead. Each room was a surprise!

Appropriate Ages: Ages ten and up! I believe the website for the haunt stated there is a friendly scare for little ones.

Props / Special FX: The props were very well done! Much effort went into the props and each room told a story of its own. The detail and the gore was awesome! The only negative was the Santa that was supposed to be scary. This actor did not do a good job selling the scene!

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes were all scene appropiate! Seemed to be more make up than masks, but the make up jobs were done very well!

Summary: If you want value for your dollar, then check out this haunt! The scare factor is more than worth the eight bucks to get in! The haunt is very easy to find and was well worth the drive! I have been in haunts where I wasnt sure what the theme was, but not here! This haunt kept the theme all the way to the end! I have been to several other haunts this year and this haunt by far was my favorite! Amazing detail in every scene, the timing of the actors and the way they followed you was very creepy! This haunt also offers a concession stand, but I cant give any info on that as we arrived and went right to the haunt.
