Visibility/Location: This haunt was easy to find, it was right off of Rt. 45. The sign was hard to see because it was not lighted. A pick-up truck was situated right next to it with a flashing light. Plenty of room for free parking. The haunt building is painted with a clown logo on the front with gargoyles on pedestals. The paint is peeling all over the artwork.

Wait Entertainment: Did not see any not to many people were inline so we got in quickly.

Length of Event: It was about 10 - 12 minutes

Actor Performance: Missed the mark on timing, kids screaming and the usual arrg. Not to scary

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: This year they did away with the guided tour. It was the best thing they could have done. Did not run into any other group but that's because the crowd was small and they were able to send us in a timed space. This will get hectic when the crowd gets larger.

Appropriate Ages: 8 and up

Props / Special FX: The best prop was the fire room but, seeing how I have seen it last year it is a bit dated and old. As a matter of fact the whole haunt is a rehash of last year and previous years.

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes were o.k. as usual but needs more work on the make-up and ditch the masked. The make-up needs to have an understanding of facial contours to high light the expressions of the actor.

Summary: I have been the his haunt several years first when they were on the old base in a big building that was 2 or 3 stories. That was the best I have ever seen. Then I have been to there haunt in the current building the first year they got back to Rantoul. It was a cool haunt with new ideas. Now my third time (last year) I thought they were going to be like the previous years. It was a rehash like I mentioned earlier slightly disappointed. That brings me to this years haunt. They have you go in a different direction and that is supposed to be different. They had the same old haunts but just in a different order. The room with the trees, fireroom, labcoat room, Michael Myers room, etc. If you remember lasts years haunt, it will be the same this year. Just saying.

Visibility/Location: When approaching the entrance to the turn off road they only had one flame lamp to mark the way. Once on the road to the haunt it was difficult to navigate. Because it was dark with no other lights. Way at the end of the road finally we seen a man with a glow in the dark parking vest with a flash light. Once parked it was confusing as to where to go. It was a creepy area in the woods but no clear directions to go to pay. A few people were walking area the parking lot and lake. Finally we stumbled on the area to pay. It was a building with snacks for sale. Once we paid we went about 30 feet to the opening of the haunt. It was not ready yet, start time was to be 7:00. It was 7:25 the actors were not ready. Finally were allowed to go in. A group of two went first we were told to wait for the signal then we were allowed to go after 15 min. of waiting. It is a self guided tour.

Wait Entertainment: We waited in line for 15 minutes there was no line haunts. The line was not very long about 10 people.

Length of Event: The event lasted about 10 - 15 minutes

Actor Performance: All actors were semi enthusiastic. They used monotones voices when they did there speaking parts. Mainly kids were the actors. The actors missed the mark several time. They had a dog actor that was the only over acting. The best actor was the ring girl she did the best job of being creepy.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Self guided, we ran into the group in from of us about 3/4 of the way through.

Appropriate Ages: 8 and up

Props / Special FX: They used a smog machine in one room. strobe lights, fake body parts and lots of hanging black plastic.

Costumes / Make-up: Make-up several run of the mill movie mask

Summary: Basically, they started late and could have utilized the woods more allowing the dark creepiness of the atmosphere to display it self. It would be worth 5 - 7 dollars. the actors needed to be more excited and watch when to do there haunt. Mistimed haunts is bad. Plenty of dead space where no haunts were. The maze was to long with no haunts in them. Loud noise bangs in almost every room. Some broke character and were talking. The maze which they had several, were at times to light. You could see the tops of the wood. And finally no background music or sound effects.
