|Scare Factor: Very High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: An old store or warehouse across from a grocery store. Pretty easy to find with a huge banner outside.
Wait Entertainment: Awesome. Dim area with cool halloween rock kinda music, not cheesy and had very cool horror movie clips playing from a projector on a sheet.
Length of Event: It took us about 20 minutes as they seemed to trap us in a maze.
Actor Performance: Mostly masks so no creative make-up. But they do scare the crap out of you over and over. A couple of scenes were lame but we screamed so many times. It was a blast. They do keep a "Peed their pants total" on the wall. i believe it.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: This is good and bad imo. We had to wait probably 6-7 minutes after the people before us. But it was soooo worth it because we never saw any other people from line in front of or behind us.
Appropriate Ages: I would say 12+. There are some pretty dark places with wicked sound that might freak out kids but I did see some younger ones. I don't have kids so I'm not the best judge here I guess.
Props / Special FX: Very creative scenes. Even ones I might call lame and great scare factors bc of the way the actors hid to get me. They definitely have some cool and creative scenes you won't see at other places. There's even a real plane crash.
Costumes / Make-up: Again, average costumes and make-up. Mostly cheap masks. But a lot of times you don't look at the actors very close as they're scaring you and you're running out of the room.
Summary: We absolutely LOVED it. It was the scariest haunted house we have been too in a long time. I want to tell you things but I don't want to spoil it. Let's just say if you're scared of dark places and thunder and lightning, you'll be freaked out. Also, they get you over and over where you're not looking. There were two or three dead spots that were super lame but there was like 25 scenes and most were awesome. We screamed so many times. Sometimes we screamed and laughed because we where scared. Sometimes we screamed and ran. Lol Bottom line, we recommend Nightmare on Derby Street. Scare factor 10 out of 10. Scenes: 9 out of 10. Costumes/Makeup: 7 out of 10. Overall: 9 out of 10 and would go again for sure!
