Visibility/Location: Easy to find....Princeton is a small town and the fairgrounds is on a state road(route34)

Wait Entertainment: Several stalkers ...clown, chainsaw...not as good as it was last was raining so maybe the good stuff didn't want to get wet.

Length of Event: 15-20 minutes

Actor Performance: Some were really good, others were not as enthused. A lot of the stuff they have is visual and didn't have actors present.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: great for us but the crowd was not as large as it was when it was dry last year. You could spend more time.

Appropriate Ages: We say a girl that was to young come out terrified so I would say at least 10. You know your kids.

Props / Special FX: Great....They had twin laser tunnels..and twin vortex tunnels. You don't see that in eight dollar shows. The other stuff was not off the shelf stuff like I see all the time...the 3-d is beyond cool. This crashing plane...well I say no more.If you like props you'll like this.

Costumes / Make-up: Some bad others great...there was a chick with a pencil sticking out of here head that was unreal. The stalkers were weak in this. They need to match makeup to scene but there is something in a maze that nearly dropped me to my knees.

Summary: I sat and watched a short play play for free with this guy doing Jekyll and Hyde, I saw a pirate scene that they spent time on like the largest shows in Chicago. I Saw a plane scene that the woman in front of me said was like six flags. I didn't like the hayrack ride(raining and not worth the time). The clowns had professional makeup. I didn't pay the two dollars for Nightmare Hotel because it was for little kids. They have a dark hallway with a simulated lave flow that was really cool. You need to see the props....GREAT. For eight buck....this show is great and worth the trip.

Visibility/Location: Very easy to get too. if you know your way around Princeton, IL.

Wait Entertainment: Not interaction for the line.

Length of Event: Stayed until 9:30. It was fun.

Actor Performance: Well I hate clowns and that was the scariest part for me. awesome

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Walk at my own pace and no one was behind us pushing us through like other places. awesome flow

Appropriate Ages: All ages

Props / Special FX: The Props were awesome.

Costumes / Make-up: What I saw the costumes were awesome

Summary: I would go back and I am going back in 2 weeks. I can't wait and neither can the family. The clowns at the door were awesome at scaring people because they scared me and it wasn't just once it was twice. Awesome job clowns. The pirate guy scared me too. The green tunnel was a awesome idea, thumbs up. The other building the 3d room was just awesome. The food is great, the fire is a great way to meet new people, and finally the building for the little kids was ok. The free show was good and the little kids liked the little haunt. Thanks guys awesome job. When we come back can't wait to be scared some more. AWESOME JOB!!!! See you soon

Visibility/Location: As easy to find as the Fairgrounds!

Wait Entertainment: Minimal. A few actors walking the line, but no interaction with the customers.

Length of Event: Around 30 minutes I think, I didn't actually time it.

Actor Performance: Actors were better then last year, but that’s not saying much. Only one, an Army guy, actually spoke to us in some form of character, then broke character when a person in my group recognized him.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Very smooth. Flawless actualy.

Appropriate Ages: 12+

Props / Special FX: The props / animatronics this year were outstanding! I actually can’t put into writing how great they were. It’s what makes going there this year worth it. You have to see it yourself, I’m no writer, so can’t give this category it’s proper due. Shooting down fighter jets…. A swirling foggy tunnel you walk threw…..Many many more…..

Costumes / Make-up: Here's where N.F.G.R. still has some problems. Disappointing, and just like last year, a few actors think that a 3 minute makeup job of smearing some fake blood on their face and neck makes for a good show. It doesn’t. I don’t expect to see makeup like on the TV show Faceoff, but I do expect to see some effort placed into it, or something better then a $10 Walmart mask. As an example. I noticed one of the clowns that turned his head, I could see his flesh color skin on his neck contrasting the white mask. Granted, most people would not notice this, but if you pay attention to detail like I do, it sticks out and looks bad. Get a $3 tube of white face makeup at Walmart and smear some on your neck. Makes things look much better.

Summary: A huge improvement over last year! You guys are on the right track, just keep heading in that direction! Overall N.F.G.R. as fallen short in 2010 and even fallen more in 2011. For 2012 you have really picked things up, good job! Keep going and you’ll become one of the better in Illinois. Also, check out the free show next to the “kiddie haunt” one guy puts on a short skit, interesting. I didn’t go into the kiddie haunt, no kids, so can’t comment. What I did see of it, it looks like a bunch of fun for kids of all ages. Well worth the $8 price. Recommended to all in this area.
