|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Good|
Visibility/Location: There are orange signs telling you its at the mapleton rec room but I had to just drive into Mapleton (its small town) and come upon it.
Wait Entertainment: There was a vampire to meet you at the giant bloody fanged strobe eyed pumkin. Its mouth is the entrance!
Length of Event: 15-20 minutes
Actor Performance: Everyone stayed in character and the tour guide was quite creepy although it was a little hard to hear her at times.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: It wasn't extremely busy so it wasn't a problem. I noticed a couple techniques for keeping the flow if it were busy including the tour guide and the funeral parlor.
Appropriate Ages: An 8 year old was in the group I joined and I wasn't sure if he was going to make it through.
Props / Special FX: The two way mirrors are fun and startling!
Costumes / Make-up: Makeup was good. Clowns were in masks.
Summary: For a smaller haunt ( which is rare for the peoria area),you get your money's worth. After the haunt which is about ten rooms and some added bonuses, you get to calm yourself with a free meal and a hayrack ride. Its a classic haunt that goes out of it's way to treat everyone with a scare or two. I was kind of upset that it wasn't busier at that timne of night for them since I liked that it was a small time haunt. I find those to be the most surprising and creative. You won't be herded through or standing in line forever and youre never quite safe from the chainsaw.
