Visibility/Location: The town itself is small, but there was a good deal of parking in front of the attraction.

Wait Entertainment: There was an illusionist performing love shows if you wanted to pay a little bit extra to see. There was also a vending booth with local vendors selling hot dogs, popcorn, chips, and drinks.

Length of Event: The house wasn't incredibly long like some of the big extravaganzas, but it wasn't too short, either. I'd say it was just right.

Actor Performance: Everybody involved was giving 110%. There were no poor performances.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Groups were sent inside in groups of 5. For half of the event, groups are led by a tour guide, setting up the flow quite well. The second half allowed the group to move on their own, though still guided by other actors. It was a nice, interesting balance.

Props / Special FX: This attraction made a very good use of hologram effects. These were really neat effects, the kind of which I have yet to see in a haunted house.

Costumes / Make-up: The make-up on the actors was very good.

Summary: The haunted house setting was that of a former mortuary. our group is initially led by a tour guide who takes the group from room to room, explaining with perfect aplomb the significance of each room right before the scare. The best scare happens in the very first room with the funeral home director and a neat holographic effect followed by the best scare. Another great moment happens halfway through when led into a service elevator with a real surprise. The second half of the attraction is without the tour guide and the group is allowed to move from room to room on its own. I loved the overall story arc of the funeral home and would have liked them to have continued on with the theme for the rest of the house. The last room, for instance, didn't quite feel like it was in sync with the rest of the house and probably shouldn't have been the finale. Still, the overall theme and genuine surprises made this quite a memorable experience and well worth the long car trip to get to the attraction.

Visibility/Location: This isn't hard to find in the little town of Petersburg, located on the square with usually a line of customers waiting outside..
This year look for the large fire truck parked in front with a fire ladder extended to the upstairs window - ITS HARD TO BELEIVE THIS NEW SPRINKLER LAW, CRAZY !

Wait Entertainment: Great looking zombie walking the crowd, mystical magic show, and good food.

Length of Event: We waited in line maybe 20 minutes and the event lasted around 15 minutes after entering the haunted house.

Actor Performance: The actors were very good and stayed on character throughout their scene, no problems!

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We were added to another group which made up four people, but most groups are maybe five to six people. We had no troubles with the flow throughout the attraction because everything but the final stage is guided.

Appropriate Ages: I would just say that the age of 10 and above shouldn't have any troubles.

Props / Special FX: The standard funeral home finishing here, complete with electro-shocking, autopsie tables, and morge settings, everything really looked good here and they missed nothing! The special effects with lighting glass projection and CGI effect picture frames works very well here. They do a very good job with what they have and they do sell this haunt very good..

Costumes / Make-up: The costumes and make up has always been very good and this year is no exception, everything we noticed here was very well done.

Summary: This haunted funeral home has been around for lots of years now and they have become a very popular spot for the young crowd and there standard haunted house attraction crowd. With this event they usually give you well worth your money's worth ($9.00) for a very enjoyable and yes somewhat scary event with excellent visual effects. Now to the rating of this attraction, I give it high marks for creativity and the ability to pull off this attraction almost seamlessly without any issues, it all works great here! They do have very limited space upstairs and therefore they do not have lots of room to advance this attraction without going downstairs (would love to see them use a staircase to the lower level) but everything upstairs gets tweaked just a little different each year which adds a new event or scene to the funerial home. Overall, this event is very enjoyable and yes we liked what we seen, we noticed some of the same things from the past used with a new theme - kind of nice! The gift shop is very nice and has lots of haunted or ghost theme props to sell, the food area is also acceptable but the Chicago Hot Dog is a plumper hot dog, and real Chicago hot dogs are not plumbers. !
The mystical magic show (we never attended) is said to be fun and interesting and give you something to do while standing in line. They hold your spot while you attend, in high number crowds or cold nights this might be a good idea to kill off thirty minutes or more.
Overall, very enjoyable after one year off and this might be a good idea to give you more change up time from scenes.
