|Scare Factor: High | Atmosphere: Very Good|
Visibility/Location: Easy to get to. If you are coming from the North, be sure to turn into the second entrance on the left. The first entrance is a little early and you will have to drive down a dirt road to get to the actual parking lot.
Wait Entertainment: Great! We barely had a wait to begin with, but they had Night of the Living Dead playing on the TV and 2 clowns running around to scare the customers. They not only entertained us, but get into a zombie debate with us too.
Length of Event: I think it took us about 20-25 minutes to get through, and we slowed ourselves down as much as possible to enjoy everything.
Actor Performance: We found ourselves laughing an awful lot at the actors inside. Not because they weren't scary, but because we were so impressed with them. We all tend to compliment them as we walk through, or joke with them when possible. My mother-in-law told my name to one actor, who then screamed it to the rest of the building. You could hear my name echoing from everyone shouting to me for a good 3-5 minutes. Another actor made a comment about my husband's clothing choice, which came off as hysterical. Maybe our sense of humor is just very closely aligned with the actors... either way, it was very entertaining.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Near the end we had 2 other people catch up to us. Otherwise we didn't see any other customers inside, so it was a very intimate experience. Very well planned.
Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our experience this year. We have been through the Karnival of Karnage at least 5-6 times since 2008, and it has never disappointed us. Last year was the first time we didn't go, and it was only because we moved far out of the area. A few things are repeats from previous years (such as the train horn and the black tube that makes you crouch down to the floor almost) but it's always in a different order to keep it from getting stale. The line entertainment is great, and the wait was next to nothing.... such a great welcome for 9:30 on a Friday night! Plus the line was in a heated space, so we didn't have to worry about the cold.
My favorite part of the house has to be the 3D area at the end (beware if you are a glasses wearer: they don't fit well over or under glasses!). We slowed down the most here so we could really look at everything and stumble through the rotating area.
Great job with EVERYTHING guys!! We'll see you again next year!
