Visibility/Location: Located along a well traveled state highway( I hate having to search for a haunt) it had an animated sign that you could see for two blocks and it's in a fairgrounds.

Wait Entertainment: They had an ample amount of people for a crowd that was not yet large. Two chainsaw guys, one dressed in a cool leather face costume. One psychotic smaller kid that was wielding a baseball bat.

Length of Event: They are in three barns so i don't know how to gauge it. the last Dimension X thing took longer than I thought. I would guess 20 minutes or longer

Actor Performance: They did better this year than in years past but I would like to see a better dispersal as I though some scenes need someone extra in them. Good clowns!

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: It was not busy so they could do what they wanted and control the flow.

Appropriate Ages: There were to kids that walked by us in the other direction crying so I would say a ten year old that has done this before. Don't go younger.

Props / Special FX: For the size of the haunt( medium)they are the best at this part. You walk into a Laser tunnel(my God someone knows how they are supposed to work) All their props have some type of movement to them. They have a long 3d presentation but it isn't as detailed as the big haunts. The vortex is 3d

Costumes / Make-up: I have always hammered them on this end before. they must have listened because they have some really good makeup. it is a mix of makeup, latex and Silicon.

Summary: Most haunts use the format of stringing rooms together with various levels of detail ans a big scare somewhere. Kind of like Haunted house fireworks...a display followed by another. These guys don't do that so much. They depend on high detail and large walk through scenes.I always thought this was risky based on the type of audience you generally depend on. They have added something called dimension x this year. I won't spoil it. If I have any advice to offer I would move that trailer out away from the haunt and make a walking path to it. You have ample stalkers to use and the same thing has been done by other haunted houses to enhance what they have. For 8 bucks you ain't doing anything better than this.

Visibility/Location: At the Bureau County Fairgrounds, easy to find. Also large signs along the highway.

Wait Entertainment: Very good. Three actors working the line. Didnít scare me, but kept me entertained.

Length of Event: 30+ minutes counting the hayrack ride.

Actor Performance: The actors stepped it up again this year. Keep up the good work!

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: First and third barn was nice and smooth. I felt a bit rushed in the second barn, (clowns) and thatís the one I wanted to spend the most time in.

Appropriate Ages: I saw a couple of kids under 10 that were crying. I mean really crying. So Iíd say 12+.

Props / Special FX:
You guys stepped it up yet again this year. Props and animatronics were awesome! Lots of motion sensors that turned things on when you least expected it. Pirate rooms and clown rooms were fantastic. More things moving and flashing than any year past.

Costumes / Make-up: Hereís where this place has improved the most. They have gotten away from cheap masks and a little splattered blood, and now to what looks to be expensive silicon masks and well done makeup. Looks like a lot of thought and hours put into costumes before the opening each night. Still a few that didnít impress, but getting better overall.

Summary: I actually attended twice this year. Opening night and on 10/25. Major improvement on my second visit. Actors seemed more ďin their grooveĒ. Usually haunts make me laugh, which is fine, but they actually got me a couple times on my second visit even though I knew what was coming. The Pirate rooms were the largest they have ever been. Very good animatronics. If you didnít look upwards in the Pirate rooms, you missed a lot. The clown rooms were larger and more of them this year. You guy and gal clowns do an excellent job. Then there was this room called Dimension-X. That place really messes with your mind. They must know how to play on your individual fears. I think you had to be 18+ to go in it because there is actor to customer contact. All while you are wearing blacked out goggles so you canít see a thing. Loved it. And the price? Still only $8. Well worth the trip, well worth the wait in line. Iíll be back next year!

Visibility/Location: It's at some fairgrounds, so if you are familiar with the area, you may be able to find it easily. We are not and the front of the parking lot was very dark when we arrived. Luckily, we have been here once before and we're using our GPS.

Wait Entertainment: There were a couple of stalking characters waiting out in the line. We arrived early so that we could get in there early and there wasn't a lot of people, so there wasn't much for then to do.

Length of Event: 20 minutes.

Actor Performance: Varied. I will say that they improved on this from last year. We only saw a couple characters who were completely out of character with masks completely off and talking with each other. This was in that final haunted barn after Dimension X. We would have liked to have seen a bit more energy, but it was early and they were just getting going.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: We were the second group to enter the haunt so we never ran into the group in front of us. Also, nobody came up from behind either. Also greatly improved from last year.

Appropriate Ages: 10+

Props / Special FX: Most of what we saw looked homemade. Not in a bad way. In a really good way. The pirate area was back with some really cool props and animatronics.

Costumes / Make-up: My hatred of static masks rears it's ugly head. Especially for line entertainers. There are masks out there now that allow for more expression from the wearer or even prosthetics. In the actual haunt I am more forgiving of them, but there were less in the haunt than in the line.

Summary: We arrived at 6:45pm because we wanted to hit another place that same night. That being said, it seems like maybe they cut back a bit on actors this year. There just wasn't as many as I remember. They also seemed slightly off, but i am mainly attributing this to us being the sexpnd group through and they haven't gotten warmed up yet.
There was some cool effects they have going, like the floors in the pirate area and a pretty cool looking Laser vortex.
A few things I wish to applaud them for this year. First, the pirate area. I enjoy this area very much. It made me laugh, jump, then laugh again. The only thing is I wish it had some more actors and definitely some music. Actually, now that I think of it, I do not recall music in the house at all. There are scenes that would really benefit from it.
Second, the circus themed area was bigger this year and entertaining. We just wish the 3D part was longer, as they had some really cool things to look at.
Finally, I really have to say that the addition was Dimension X was a great idea. They said it was experimental, I say keep it and make it bigger next year. This area, while it never really scared me, worked on my nerves and, honestly, the actors and darkness had on a nervous edge the whole time, filled with uneasy laughter. For this area, I was just not expecting something a bit more boundary pushing as this. VERY good!
