Visibility/Location: Storefront location in Lincoln Square area...easy street parking, just feed the meter for an hour and you're set.

Wait Entertainment: We gathered outside the theatre and talked with others attending....checked out the cool window display of carved pumpkins that relate to the show. As soon as you walk through the door, the play has begun. We were greeted by a tutu wearing character that put crowns on those who were to be Princess, as she walked around showing us her new dolly. (creepy!!)

Length of Event: Just long enough for your nerves to get rattled and your head totally in the play. I think it was about 15 minutes in the actual gallery seats we had (great view of those who were Princess, and of the actors) And the lobby part, right when we walked in was maybe 5-10 minutes. I wasn't paying much attention to the time, just immersed in the production.

Actor Performance: The Bear...creepy and honest. The Mother, frightening. The boyfriend, you never knew what he was going to do next. The serenade by him was really, umm, unnerving. Everyone did a great job scaring the crap out of us.

Patron Flow Inside Attraction: Those who were in the play (4 people who bought the Princess tickets) went through a dark hallway where we in the gallery Babysitter area could see through a dingy screen as they walked through. They looked truly frightened. And this was just walking in to the play. The Babysitter seats were 2 tiers of theater style seating dressed with grandma style afghans to make it feel like a couch at grandmas, I'm guessing.

Appropriate Ages: Not for children. It's intense, and mental. Bear might stay in your dreams for a couple days. He was in mine last night.

Props / Special FX: The closet was pretty cool. I don't want to say too much more as it would spoil things for those going. The Bear Puppetry was very well done. The sounds and scents that were present enhanced the show. Well done.

Costumes / Make-up: The costuming and makeup was appropriate for each character. Well thought out and sold me on who they each were portraying without being too over the top. Raggedy Anne, loved it!

Summary: Go see this! We saw it last year as well, and honestly, this year's show was even more intense. Might be the new theatre location/stage layout..whatever it was, it works. This is a trip through all your childhood nightmares in one 15 minute horror experience. Go with your friends if you can- it's a small venue, and would be fun with a group so you can cling to each other.
