Post "Big Al Is afraid Of Me & My Brothers!" Reply with quote
I was told this at a classmate's birthday party when I was maybe 11 years old.
My classmate , the "Birthday Boy" made this statement referring to "Big Al" the town's Chief of Police.
"What do you mean he's afraid of you and your brothers?"
"Everytime he drives over here to Cemetary Hill he stops at the bottom of the hill , where there is no Stop sign, rolls up the squad car's windows and locks the doors,Then he drives up the hill."
I couldn't see "Big Al" being afraid of a few young kids since he was the movie theater manager before he became a Policemen and he sure didn't retreat from any kid-confrontations then!
I eventually got to approach this subject with one of Al's sons.
"Dad was on patrol on summer night around 2 or 3 am, he drove up Cemetary Hill, he happened to turn his head toward the graveyard and there at the back of the graveyard a UFO was landing!" He drove rather quickly to the other side of town where there used to be a 24 hr. gas station-restaurant, stumbled in and was incoherant for awhile with fear trying to explain what he had witnessed.
(For Al to admit to his son that he was ever afraid was not in character for Al, so I think it all really happened. He saw something.
The graveyard is home to more than 6,400 graves. It is on a hill with a small creek running around it on the east, south and westerly sides, there are steep cliffs, dense woods and a city park and cornfields across the creek, a few homes are next to it's north boundry, it's sort of a lonely location, alot could happen there that no one would discover very easily.
And all I have to do is look out my west windows and there it is all 6,400 of them on the next hill over from my house!

"It costs way too much money to keep a criminal in jail, but it ends up costing more to keep one in "office"."
