Visibility/Location: There were signs leading you to the event once you arrived in Rantoul. GPS will lead you right to the event. There are several signs when you are a couple of blocks from the haunt.

The haunt is located in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking located in the lot.
Wait Entertainment: Once you bought your wristbands for the event you were directed to a waiting area inside the building. There was haunting music playing in the wait area that was decorated in a dungeon theme.

When we bought our tickets there was one scarecrow that was standing outside the event just watching patrons.

When we came out of the second haunt we noticed that there was a 7-8 foot Jack Skellington from the movie A Nightmare Before Christmas.
Admission Price: There are 2 haunts at this location and the price is $12.00 each. If you purchase entry to both haunts it is $20.00.
Parking: Free

Scare Factor: Fear Factory: Medium-High
Psychosis: High
Crowd Control: Fear Factory: Crowd control was done very well, we did not run into any groups and no group caught up with us.
Psychosis: We did run into 1 group; but the way this haunt is set up you could run into other groups in the house and it would not matter since everyone is looking for the way out.

Haunt Masters did a really good job setting up 2 different haunts in the same location.

Fear Factory:

As we entered the house, we walked down a narrow corridor. You walked up into a room that the Dr. was behind a fence. He seemed a little hungry since he was saying “here piggy, piggy”. The area behind him contained several fuse boxes. You thought he would stay behind the fence; but not for long he was out with you. Taunting and falling you the rest of the way out of the room.

This guy was great since his voice soon went from to a man yelling at you to almost like a child-like voice that asking you to take him with you. He surely had the creep factor going on for him!

One room contains an area with crazy patients in it where they forced you into a cage. One guy quickly pushed patrons in the cage and quickly locked the cage door with a chain. Once you were locked in the crazy attacked, yelling and grabbing at you. All of the sudden they crabbed the cage and you were spinning around the room, spinning so fast you quickly loose where you are at. One it stops you are at the next door and they unlock the cage and you exit.

If you are found of pitch black hallways, this house has a great one. Get ready to feel your way through. As you travel through at first you think you are alone; but you are not. Crazy laughter is coming from inside the tunnel and he is right there jumping out, screaming, and laughing at you. This actor does a really superb job of keeping patrons on their toes. You really have to feel your way out of this area basically.

One of the last areas we went through was a room filled with sheets and mattresses on the floors. The actresses in this room keep you trying to guess where the exit is in this room. The actresses are grabbing at your feet, and telling you to go that way, and screaming.

Is a haunt that is set up as a hotel theme and it is find your way out of the rooms. None of the doors are out in the open and you really do have to find your way out. I will talk about the rooms but I will not give anything away. This you must experience for yourself.

We first entered a sitting room and basically you are walking around the room feeling walls and furniture to try to escape from that room. There are no clues, just feel your way around. Don’t worry there are ghosts and ghouls in each room trying to confuse or just utterly scaring you to death to try to keep you from exiting.

Two standout areas are the locations of the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom was really hard to get out of. What you thought were doors and exits were not. The actress in the bathroom followed you around and told you to go this way and then told you to go that way. There is actually a piece of furniture that you have to walk behind to get out. Then you enter this bedroom where 2 more actresses pull turn down the bed for you and point for you to get in the bed. They repeatedly are in your face, and one does something weird with her eyes, she is very disturbing!!!

Haunt Masters is definitely worth the trip to Rantoul. If you can try both attractions since they are a steal at $20.00 both. Psychosis was one of my favorites this year. There is nothing better than trying to find your way out of a haunted house. Haunt Masters has been on our schedules for the last couple of years and they seem to get better and better each year at reinventing themselves.
