Summary:
My story does not begin well, but has a happy ending. After I received my ticket, I was told to go in the wrong direction, and ended up going in to the end of the house, because they had changed where the entrance was from last year. After a couple of false starts, and people not knowing where the entrance of the house was, I finally found it, and made it inside.
Once inside, the first area was the open area set up with oil drums, and had some smoke to give it a good scary feeling. After that, there was a corridor filled with strobes, which was very disconcerting.
After that, there was an area filled with jail bar walls, set up like a maze. This house ended up having a bunch of different mazes throughout, which I thoroughly enjoy. This one made it difficult to know which way to go, because the vertical bars gave you a little sense of vertigo.
After this, was the first pitch black maze you encounter. I am not going to lie, I ended up getting lost in here, and somehow ended up going back to beginning of the maze. I must have somehow got confused in there, and ran in to another group that was behind us. Once I got back to the beginning, I realized my mistake and second time being the charm, got through the maze intact.
Once I regained my footing, I continued on throughout the house, and, after the maze, there was a corridor with a strobe light, which led in to another pitch dark maze. Luckily, I did not get lost in this one.
After that maze, you are led in to a very disgusting bathroom area, that has not been serviced in a long time. That went in to another cage maze, this one just as confusing as the first one.
After that was, you guessed it, another dark maze, and, again, did not get lost. This led in to a classroom type setting which I found well done, and very creepy.
This led in to several dark areas, which then went back in to a classroom area, which soon led in to very evil dentist area. I would not want him working on my teeth! That led in to a very creepy insane asylum area with a couple of very creepy actors that just made me feel very uncomfortable.
Soon after, there was another oil can area, with several actors ready to make loud noises and scare you and make you want to get through that area quickly. Soon after, there was another quick maze that had a very creepy actor following you through, definitely not a person you want to see down a dark alley.
This leads in to another factory/oil can area, and soon after that it led in to a house area, starting in a very disturbing living room. After this, was a very creepy little girl's room, which went in to an even creepier doll room, where you were not sure which dolls were actors, and which were just dolls.
Next was the laser room, where there is a laser going across the room about waist high, making it so you can't see what is below, perfect recipe to have an actor pop out at you and scare you. After another hallway, there was another laser room, which you usually don't see two laser rooms, this last one being more in a foresty area.
Overall, I thought Midnight Terror was very good. The rooms were all well done, and the creepiness factor was high. There were MANY good dark mazes, and I feel it helped to bring up the creepy scare factor to the house. I enjoyed this house a lot this year.
