Summary:
After a brief wait in line, we were granted entry and we passed through a long burlap curtain into an outdoor alleyway and then into a shack. There, we ran into a character who held us back and performed a decapitation for our benefit. We cheered him on and continued on our way.
Along the way, we encountered a biohazard area occupied by a clown with a wicked cool face, as well as a raised cage which was full of body parts and a butcher who hovered over us as we shuffled by. We found a faƧade of a little house, and we entered through a living room where a creepy actress was hiding in an unexpected place. She eerily followed us and had us cornered as we approached a very tall and ominous shadow figure. We snuck by and entered a doll room with an energetic girl character that wanted us to hang out and play. She followed us through a hallway that was covered in vines and occupied by her very large pet.
We walked outside and met a little clown that had clung onto a victim and had a creepy little laugh about it. We were walking towards a building, and trying to avoid barrels that clearly were housing something that wanted out. There, we were startled by a very tall and demonic character that had a very loud and effective scare for us.
It was at this point that we reached the scene in Sinister House that changed our entire outlook on the show and differentiated their show from any other that we had seen before. We walked into a building and we were met by a clown who held a very confusing conversation with us and began messing with our minds so we would be completely thrown off guard when he pulled out his bag of tricks. Suddenly, the lights turned off and he was asking us what happened. Suddenly, the startle came that almost knocked us off of our feet. Legitimately almost had us on the floor. When we reached out to hold onto something to catch our balance, we were met with yet another scare that wouldn't allow us to regroup. We were held in this crazy and disorienting scene for a minute or so, while the clown kept messing with us and blocking our exit. He finally let my friend continue, but he held me back for a little bit longer. I wasn't complaining because I really enjoyed my time in this room. Eventually, he let me go and I met with my friend back outside.
We immediately met Sinister, the clown, who was on stage and asking us for our names so he could introduce us to his clowns. He allowed us up on stage and past him so we could meet the clowns ourselves. They were very energetic and bright and loud. As we were walking through their hideaway, we were teased with very loud noises coming from right outside, where our impending doom was made pretty clear. We found a very long room that was adorned with bed sheets and strobe lights; a very cool effect that looked like it was right out of a horror movie. We met our final character who chased us off and laughed all the way.
All of the characters that we encountered here were energetic. Some of them followed us through the house by crawling or climbing, and it was very clever that the house was built for them to do so. Their costumes and makeup were very well put together. There were sound effects throughout the whole show, so there was never a quiet moment. We drove over five hours to see this show, and the room that nearly knocked us over was totally worth the drive by itself. I am truly looking forward to driving back to this haunted house in the future and seeing what they do with it in the years to come.
