Visibility/Location: Google Maps takes you directly to the location. There is a hearse right next to the entrance and a sign with flashing lights. There is also a school bus that sits right off the road. There is plenty of parking right next to where you purchase tickets and get in line for the haunt.
Wait Entertainment: During the wait, they have a DJ playing music. They also have a coffin simulated "Last Ride" in a coffin. Michael Myers was wielding a machete walking around scaring guests and posing for pictures, along with a few other costumed characters. They also have a small concessions area and a really nice bathroom.
Admission Price: $15.00
Last Ride Coffin simulator is $5.00

Note: The time shown here represents the actual time spent moving forward through the attraction. Time spent waiting in queue lines, staging areas, intro scenes, rules rooms and when traffic jams cause patrons to come to a halt, has been subtracted.

LPR stands for Length/Price Ratio. It represents perceived value of an event, by comparing length vs price of admission. Higher numbers represent more value per dollar. Actual quality and/or entertainment value of an event are not factors in this calculation. Click Here to see how this event compares to others visited this year by the staff of HauntedIllinois.com.
Scare Factor: Medium-High
Crowd Control: The staff did a great job keeping the patrons spaced out, so no groups ran into each other. We were able to go through at our own pace and felt like we were the only group in the woods.

Summary:

It was opening night, so the line was fairly short. We probably waited about 20 minutes and then were sent to an old shed to get the rules and waited a few more minutes for the previous group to get further through. The waiting area and the haunt are outdoors, so dress appropriate for the weather.

The pathway through the woods is roped and lighted with torches. There were a couple spots that were pretty dark making it a little hard to see where the ropes were, but it added to the fear factor. You walk through several different buildings/scenes and there are surprises in the dark. They have tons of props while walking from scene to scene and you can't tell which are fake and which are real people. This haunt gets bigger every year.

There was a scene with girls dressed as devil dolls and they did a great job of making your skin crawl. One of the scenes had a guy that was beaten and bloodied, tied to the wall, and just as we walked passed, there was a scare we didn't see coming! There are also a couple scenes that have a few old campers set up. One old grumpy camper wants you off his property and lets you know what he'll do if you don't leave. Watch out for the huge hog head! The clown scene is always really good, they like to confuse you into going through the wrong doors to get out.

Just when you think you're safe and head towards the exit, you hear this eerie sound, similar to a small cat wailing in pain. When you turn around, there's a small zombified child crawling like it was stiff and distorted making those sounds. We actually stopped and watched it crawl for a little bit, we couldn't tell if it was a prop or a real child!

I always look forward to this haunt every year and the new ideas they come up with.
